Does Brady have an injury we don't know about, or was it just brain farts? There seemed to be quite a few today, moreso than normal. Just a bad day? Nerves? Ghost pressure?

The head-scratcher was the pass to a wide open Woodhead, 10 feet over his head into the sideline. Very un-Brady like. Then the one behind Branch, although that was probably just a mis-communication, and the one behind welker, the underthrow to underwood, etc etc...

Redskins were disguising their defense to make things confusing. I saw a tweet that said Welker was cussing because of the miscommunications on offense.

I agree, TB12 looked really off, but I just think it was a bad day. Plain and simple. We all have them. I'm not too worried. If this happens again next week, then I'll be concerned.

That was a pretty ugly first half. But he did bounce back in the second half, so I don't think it's an injury situation.

He went 8 of 19 in the first half for 166 yards, and 14 of 18 in the second, though one of those incompletions was that terrible INT in the end zone. Of course there were a few drops, a lucky bounce, and a few errant throws even on the completions (I remember one a bit behind Wes instead of leading him).

It was an up-and-down day, like the rest of the team had.

It was mostly miscommunications and poor decisions IMO, other than the Woodhead throw, that was just horrible.

The misfires to Welker and Gronk really looked like Brady was expecting them to sit rather than continue running across which kind of made sense when you see the defenders coming in from off screen. So I think some of it is on the recievers. The Hernandez TD drop looked like a good throw. The INT was on Brady. The miscommunication is a concern knowing where we are playing next week

13 weeks into the regular season and the same offensive players who were on the roster last year (Gronkowski, Hernandez, Welker, Branch, Woodhead), communication issues are simply inexcusable.

Not necessarily. If the Redskins were doing a good job disguising their coverages, it could lead to miscommunication on presnap reads. Brady could have seen one thing and his receiver saw something different.

That said, I felt the offense in the first half was actually worse than the defense. At least the defense scored a TD early. Everyone jumped all over the defense though.

I thought in the second half, the Pats played better on both sides of the ball.

That was one of the biggest things. Makes me wonder if the Redskins were mixing man and zone, where Brady was reading zone and the receivers were reading man, or something like that. That means technically they would both be right, but both of them being right doesn't matter if they're not right together.

The New England Patriots offense has been sluggish in the first quarter of games lately. A greater commitment to the running game could resolve "communication issues" in a pass happy offense.

I think he thought Gronk was supposed to be there instead of woody

Actually now that I recall, I remember thinking to myself that Brady paused as he turned to woodhead, seemed to look at him, Aim, and then loft it over his head. Throughout the years, Brady's always zipped those passes without thinking. Seemed like he was thinking too much and aiming. I think this is the first time I've ever seen Brady, pause, aim, throw.

Usually its snap, barely look, throw.

Brady hasnt been this inaccurate in years, he's overthrowing/underthrowing WR's numerous times a game.

People are *****ing that we don't run enough, news flash....our line cant run block for ****.
As for the New England Patriots offensive line, there are three regular season games to learn how to run block for five running backs on the active roster.

I don't know what the play is called, but the running play where lawfirm runs to the
left trying to pick up a yard or two from 5 yards back hardly works. They have to get
more creative with play calls.

We do those long stretch play to BJGE that gain a yard, and everyone's like we should run more!
