yep, ive said it for awhile. we need either Ochocinco or Taylor Price to develop into a productive receiver for us to be successful going forward.
Well said and worthy of a re-post. IMHO, the difference between the Patriot offense of September and the Patriot offense of Giants, Cowboys, Pitt, first half of KC is exactly what is posted above. In the absence of evidence that explains why the offense is noticeably less effective than it was in the beginning of the season, I have to conclude opposing defenses have figured out how to shut down WW and Branch. Shutting them down, especially WW, appears to mean the Patriot O will not dominate from the opening kick off. It also seems reasonable to conclude that a productive third option at the WR position will shake up what opposing defensive game plans currently are doing. While it might be a bit too dramatic to say this, I don't think it is totally unreasonable to think a productive third WR could be the difference between regaining offensive dominance and a deeper run into the playoffs (versus an early exit).
Kudos to OchoCinco for his efforts to get better but it simply has not yet panned out. If he isn't ready to go against Philly, I am eager to see what someone else can offer (is Price in the building????).
