This week against KC I'm looking forward to confirmation that the D we saw last week really does exist... one game at a time for these guys for the rest of the regular season... and it could still be a mirage, until we see them against the class of the league come playoff time.

That said -- anybody else more interested in Ninkovich and Carter right now than Brady and Gronk? No offense to Brady and Gronk, but all they can do is excel or fail to meet expectations. It's fun to root for the part of the team that's always (sadly) the question mark.

The defense we saw last Sunday is similar to the defense we saw the Sunday before until four players (Spikes, Chung, Barrett, and Guyton) went down on the defense for the last two drives. We have seen this defense progress over the season. People seem to be blind to it though and only want to focus on the negative and season long stats.

This week probably won't tell us much. The Pats are facing a team with a QB who has 13 pass attempts for his career.

if Brady can put up 25 + points every game the pats will win every game playoffs and SB even vs the packers

Everybody thought lasts year's GB game was going to be an easy win sans Aaron Rodgers.

If they struggle on Monday night it wouldn't be the first time a BB defense struggles with a QB because they don't have a lot of film available of him to study.

Matt Flynn didn't wash out of the UFL and CFL like Tyler Palko did though. Flynn was in his third year with the Packers and being developed in the system. The Chiefs are Palko's sixth team in 5 years and that includes the UFL and CFL teams. Matt Flynn last year in the preseason lit up the Chiefs for 304 yards. Plako was rather unimpressive this year in the preseason.

There is a chance that Palko could surprise everyone, but I doubt it. The Matt Flynn comparison may be unwarranted since Flynn has shown signs of being able to potentially be a legitimate starter some day. Palko is a career journeyman.

Not all back up QBs are created equally. Flynn may be one of the best and Palko may be one of the worst. The one thing that scares me about Palko is that he is left handed and I wonder who has more problems adapting to this in his first game, the Pats or the Chiefs.

I like the progress I'm seeing, but maybe this is a touch too optimistic...

Seeing Edalmen in there at CB was pretty funny, BB's duck tape and glue patch work D does it again.

hope McCourty's 100% soon, he's been looking sharp the past month making some nice Smackles.

Just because we think a certain game is easy doesn't mean squat to BB. he never takes an opponent lightly even if it's Rodney Dangerfield playing QB.

as for me I worry about every game, lol. i'd love to see a couple beat downs this season so we can work price, ridley and vereen in for some snaps.

at least 1 beatdown

even though our schedule looks easy, you cant rest your laurels because this is the NFL where anyone can beat anyone on a given week...and I trust that Belichick will make a point of that to the team.

for weak teams like the chiefs you have to stomp on them early to kill their confidence. if you let them stay in it, you give them confidence that they can beat you.
