Only Three Not Practicing

According to Reiss, McCourty, Fletcher and Spikes were not present at the beginning of practice.

Chung practicing is great news.

It would be good to see Fletcher or Spikes back soon.

That's great news.

But to be honest - given our upcoming schedule, I want these guys to get close to 100% before coming back. If we can't beat the Cassel-less Chiefs without McCourty & Spikes, we're in trouble anyway.

I pray every day that I never, ever get a horrific, awful, vicious, debilitating "thumb" injury like Fletcher has.

Have you ever had a broken thumb? I broke mine on a helmet in High School,at the joint nearest the hand. I was told there was a real risk of losing the use of my thumb, which as the Dr put it, is what separates us from the animals.
I did make the tackle for a 1 yard loss though.

I'm a Pats homer who's in the camp with Bruschi that Fletch is on a path to be a productive, Bruschi like LB.

Friday Practice Report / Injury Update

Four players not seen during the media portion of practice:

CB Devin McCourty
LB Brandon Spikes
LB Jeff Tarpinian
LB Dane Fletcher

McCourty, Fletcher and Spikes we all already knew about.

Tarpinian is the one new name.

Injury report gets released at 4:00 this afternoon, we'll have to wait till then to find out more.
