Albert Haynesworth really needs to work on his snow job to his new teams fans. Here is what he said yesterday about Tampa:

"This is where I should have been like three years ago, but all good things come to somebody that waits,"

Sound familiar? Probably because you heard this in July about the Patriots:

"For me, it's a career-saving place for me to come. I had no idea it would be like this. It's unbelievable. I wish I kinda took two years ago and came here."

Albert Haynesworth -- New England Patriots 'a career-saving place for me' - ESPN Boston

So three years ago he would have been better off going to Tampa and two years ago he was better off going to the Pats.

Sounds like a bitter fan getting mad at a guy who is saying all the right things.

What do you want him to say?

What would make you happy? I seriously don't understand the need to pile on Albert Haynesworth.

I'm not bitter at all. I wasn't a fan of the deal, but I thought he played well at the time. I was never a person who thought for sure that he would work out.

I really don't care. The Pats took a minor gamble on the guy (a 2012 late round pick and about $750k for half the season). It didn't work out, but the Pats still have depth at the position.

I just think it is funny that he said that he wished he always came to the Pats and now he is saying he wished he always came to the Bucs.

i don't know about the rest of you but i think the patriots will miss his pre-game "glowering off into the distance" look.

wouldn't surprise me if that is precisely what the bucs need in order to get back into the thick of the nfc south race.

I hope Haynesworth is worth the tampering charges Tampa is probably looking at.

It almost seems as if he laid down to force a trade and as luck would have it, he went to the one place he really really wanted to be

That's a heckuva coincidence

Well, the man sure can talk the talk. Walking the walk... not so much.

Where was that? The practice field?

What would you rather he say? He's speaking highly of the team that just picked him up, which is exactly what he should be doing. It sucked that he didn't work out here, but it is what it is. It's not a big deal.

he's saying the right things and when the pats lets him play he was haveing a impact, i think he was a good pick up for the bucs

LOL, no way, man. I'm with the OP. What is he supposed to say? How about something that sounds a little genuine and not like his "fill in the blanks with whatever team I'm on" responses. Like I'd believe anyone would be excited to be on the Bucs. Better yet, Al, say nothing at all and just play like you give a damn. On EVERY down.

From Fat Al's PC on why he didn't sign with the Bucs before "It was too pretty, too much water here" .......Yeah he was probably afraid he'd get Rolled back in.

If Haynesworth has a 2 sack game or something amazing today vs Houston I will commit Hari-Kari

Tampa actually offered him more money than the Redskins but he turned it down because he wanted to win, so it's hilarious that he claims he wanted to be there.

I agree there's no need to pile on because all it takes it one mediocre lineman to block Haynesworth to the ground and keep him there.

The guy is a POS. He gave up on the Pats when he didnt get his way. And is a big part of that Giants loss. The Bucs will find this out soon enuff! Good riddance!:bye2:
