I'm torn......help

**** on THAT.

**** all OVER that.

There is NO team that I want in the AFC PlayOffs MORE than the J-E-T-S Jets Jets Jets!!

...And the Giants in the Super Bowl, thank you VERY much.

Masochist! Revenge is good, but a tolerable "fail" (the likelier outcome, all things being equal) is easier on the digestion. No '07 flashbacks* please, no Welker pseudobenchings, I'd prefer the AFC and NFC flavors-of-the-week this winter...

*all the revenge in the world won't bring back 19-0

Another thing - much of the past half decade or so has been a hard lesson for me in the perils of relying on other teams for "help"; If the Pats aren't good enough to take care of their own business they probably don't merit that help anyway.

"Win your Division" is the number one rule for a reason. We don't know how the season will unfold for the Chargers and Ravens...too many things outside our control over the next ten weeks. But winning the Division guarantees us a playoff spot and at least one home game and the other stuff, like a Bye, will have to take care of itself.

There is really only one choice for Pats Fans today: Go Chargers!

At best, for Pats Fans, a Jets win is a dark cloud with a silver lining.

I could never root for the Colts. Either way it's lose-lose for us in the case of the Colts.

They start winning: Peyton is back next year
They lose out and draft Luck: Peyton gets traded to Miami. UGH!

I'm all for it. Tough competition makes the Pats tougher. And everyone assumes that Luck is a sure thing. The Colts have more problems than QB. Bring it on.

No matter who the Jests are playing you root against them.

Has anybody chosen Jets yet lol

Ken, don't waste any brainpower on this decision -- this one isn't about logic. When the games comes on the tv, you WILL find yourself rooting against the Jets with every fiber of your being, no matter what rational decision you reached beforehand. Just roll with it.

You speaks the TRUTH!

I did. This is good for the Patriots to have the Chargers drop one game back in the loss column. Jets in third in the AFC East at 4-3 still have five teams to climb over to make the playoffs.

San Diego blew this game with penalties, horrible clock management and turnovers. They were awful today.

Good for the Patriots.

I blame this thread on giving the dreaded F$%KING Jets the courage to win that game. I do not give a crap that that loss helps us going forward. There is no solace in having to watch the Jets win such a crappy win during a Patriot s bye week.

Now, If you'll excuse me, I have to go vomit. F$%k the Jets (and f%^k the Chargers too for that matter).

Witnessing evil triumphant never is pleasant.

Well although I would have loved to see the Jets thrashed, I can't say I absolutely hate the result. The Jets got every break in the book and still managed only to squeeze out a 6 point win, at home. If after this game any of you feel the Jets are as big a threat as some of the other teams in the conference, then you are over estimating them by a lot.

Do you REALLY think that the Jets will run the ball THAT successfully against the Pats. As it was. Greene had a good day, not a great one.

Sanchez STILL couldn't throw the ball more than 200 yds.

And for all the crap we are going to be subjected to over the next few weeks about Plazico Burress, pardon me if I don't worry about him until the Jets are on the Pats 3 yd line. That kid Kerley is more of threat than he is.

BTW- its going to be hard for Jet fans to complain about the officiating THIS week.....though I'm sure they will

I'm happy the Jets will be relevant over the next couple of weeks before we have to play them again. It will make the game that much more satisfying to see them knocked back into the obscurity they so richly deserve.

AND Philip Rivers delivered another Philip Rivers (non)performance in a clutch game. I know he puts up big numbers when the heat is off, but I have never understood why people mention him in the same breath as Brady or Manning or (now) Rodgers, let alone suggest that he might go to Canton one day. He's just not in their league and is running out of time to show that he might be.

I don't see him that often, but it was by far the worst game I've ever seen him play. I was very surprised to see it. But like I said, unlike last season, I DON'T see any reason to fear the Jets and now SD is behind us by a game and a half for the bye. Take care of the Steelers and only the Ravens (who we don't play) and the mercurial Texans are threats to the bye.....so far.

To me, the Jets, until they are eliminated, are always a case of "I've killed it, but is it dead?" I think there are plenty of reasons to fear a team with that D. First things first, let's win the Division and then think about the Bye.

So now that the Chargers lost I am trying to at least find a silver lining and I don't. That team won't come close to challenging us for a bye with the way they looked. They're a 10-6 team at best, maybe 11-5 thanks to playing in such a crummy division

The root against the Jets might not be so automatic next week. We have a tie breaker over the Jets, but not the Bills.

Good for the Patriots.

1 Jets net win plus one Pats net loss would now = me mildly queasy about the Meadowlands rematch

I'd rather have the cushion.
