"Bill Belichick: A Football Life" documentary on NFL Network

Funniest part of the documentary:

BB: Let me set the stage for ya.

Sunglasses at Night Fist Pump: (With his sunglasses on and doing a fist pump) We're 3 and 0 in this division,
AND IT STILL GOES THROUGH US!!!!!!!

BB: (Couldn't be more sarcastic) And it still goes through us, the division goes through Miami.

PS. There is no need to point out why Sporano has to wear sunglasses, I am aware and I simply don't care, I think it just adds to the foolishness of that clown. So he has a light sensitivity and he needs to wear glasses, Rex Ryan has a hunger sensitivity and he needs to wear a mumu because of it. BB is the Evil Emperor from Star Wars and needs to wear a grey hoodie because of it. Everyone has their own issues.

The only thing that goes through Miami is the heroin trade.

OK, for both episodes of this absolutely groundbreaking inspirational series I had goose bumps. Talk adout the absolute ying vs yang of chick flicks this series delivered. However, the climax of part 2 left me with a great sadness in regards to the ending of that season and I had an apifiny

I had that once, go to the doctor, penicillin should take care of it.

I missed it tonight, my brother taped it so Ill watch it tomorrow night.

I had the weirdest dream tonight - - it must've been the spicy food from dinner. Fell asleep and drifted into a deep, deep slumber.

All I remember is dreaming about Randy Moss begging Belichick to come to some Halloween costume party at a roller skating rink with all the players. Obviously, I expect Belichick to kick him out of his office with some sarcastic cutting remark about 'growing up and being a professional' or something. But...get this....Belichick acts SERIUOSLY INTERESTED and inquires about what the food will be and says sure he'll be there and can the rest of the coaching staff attend!

Crazy.

Then it continues and next I'm seeing Beichick dressed as Captain Feathersword and Randy dressed as Sponge Bob Square Pants, not to mention Big Vince dressed as some other cartoon character. They all have goofy grins and are acting like little kids - - Belichick right there acting the goofiest.

I have to stay off the spicy food. That was just psychotically bizarre.

Omigod, it WASN'T a dream??????????

Like the comment of how he plans to coach into his 70s

I would be surprised if he goes as long as Levy

I heard that differently. I thought he said that he's surely coach for quite a while yet, but probably not into his 70s like Levy.

Totally loved this part.

The division hasn't gone through Miami since the last century.

There is motivation and there is delusion.

he's 59 years old (doesnt look it) so we have hopefully another 10 years of BB as HC of the NEP....

The truth is that he'll probably keep coaching until he ages to the point that the grind becomes too unpleasant to go through.

How long will that be? BB is probably in better shape than a lot of politicians who keep going well into their 60s or 70s without compromising on their schedules.

And a link for the rest of us is..........where? Thanks in advance

I honestly never new that. I always wondered why he wore glasses at press conferences. Is that why Lacomplainian Tomlinson wears the black visor too?
Say what one will about Bellichick, but he will wear his emotions on a sleeve. Unlike the Ryans and Parcels of the world,, he'll put out the "bad" with the good. If the Pats don't win another Super Bowl in his tenor I'll still feel blessed we had had him for however long he graces us with his presence.
Ohh yeah,,,, I hated that freaking pom pom on his head during the Ravens game. Wilfork shoulda said something. He was the biggest moffo on the team. If at least some of the defensive line spoke up, he may not have worn that hat.

Belichick is signed for 2 more years.. he signed a seven year dear 1 week after spygate... but i take it though that johnathan needed to be seen and heard on that documentry... i could see bill leaving for the giants job, but that would be a bitter pill to swallow, he has it made in the shade here...

I don't see it. As emotional as he got in the giants locker room they prevented us from going 19-0. No freakin way he EVER coaches the Gmen again. No way.

That part about the clock in the car...LMFAO! Now I don't feel so stupid for not understanding mine.

Then you don't know Belickick.

He's a professional head coach in the National football League. He's not some fanboy.

He loves the Giants organization for all it represents and all his memories from 9 years there. As long as the Mara/Tisch families own the team that's ok by him. Many of us remember he LEFT the Jets because Leon Hess died and he didn't trust what new ownership would look like.

The fact that the Giants won SB 42 over the Pats doesn't make him hate the Giants like a fanboy. Professionals live in a different world than we do.

I wish i could see the second part, anyone?

BB: I don't get mad.. I get even.... :rocker:

Couple things:

1) Losses hit him pretty hard, I was looking at this from a Belichick 'scale' if you will and he seemed pretty melancoly. He seemed down. Just the effort that goes into a season and to see it squashed from that first Rice run to a TD, that is the stuff I wanted to see from the documentary.

2) I liked the second part better than the first.

3) If 81 was a distraction, I never saw it. I think he really just wants to belong. Yes he may have personality issues but I think he really just wants to be with the guys.

4) BB puts a lot of emphasis on making a play in critical parts of the game. He focuses on mental toughness, he always did and this was something preached by him since he got here. Nice to hear him state this to the team.

5) A realization that he will not be around forever. This kinda sucks for me, I mean obviously he is not. Don't like hearing him say it.

6) Already mentioned relationship b/w 12 and BB. I would never say father-son relationship that was previously said in this thread because I think that is a bit disrespectful to his dad who 12 obvioulsy showed a lot of emotion towards in that ESPN interview. Nice to see the relationship behind the scenes of one of the best QB-head coach relationships of all time in the NFL.

7) Can't wait for Sunday, and the next Sunday and the next Sunday...

Makes you think they could develop a visor that QBs could use so DBs can't read their eyes. I imagine the QBs need to most amount of clarity to see the field and that's probably why.

As for the documentary....why is it only 2 hours? I could easily handle 5 more hours of this stuff.
