Brady's press conf today..

The more I read about Brady's PC today the more I am convinced he has hit the wall...again, that is not a bad thing - in Brady's case this good go either way. He could go lights out for the rest of the year, or he could try too hard, push to hard and force things and then it is over.

In any case, LOVE to see his passion. That is what great leaders do, they get pissed without calling out names and send messages to their teammates! His press conference today did that. Now, let's see how they and he respond.

This is one of the first times I have seen Daniel Graham mentioned as one of the locker room leaders on the team. If that realy is the case, and he is part of the core with Rodney, Vrable, Tedy and Troy - Do any of you see that as a plus for having him re-sign with us?

I recall Brady mentioning Dan in that context previously. Unless he insists on well over $3M, Graham is here next season.

I'd hardly say he "shut down the Jackson hype", merely pointed out that he was not currently healthy, something which some fans seem to have a problem understanding.

i think most fans understand , just some keep saying he should play more and be kept on the field more,thrown to more,to help the team,stretch the field etc as if he is healthy and a pro bowler. The coaching staff knows what he can and cannot do right now ..

Sounds like he's calling out certain players to get with the program.

That is what I thought when I read it and I thought it might have clarified what happened to Gabriel, though maybe it had nothing to do with why he got cut.

However,one of the big worries with bringing Junior Seau to the Pats was his tendency to freelance. He fit in quite well, though not without a run-in with Pepper Johnson.

yup..there were nickname polls being thrown around for our running game...after the minn game we thought we had an explosive passing attack and kinda got away from it since the colts game....

No kidding. The guy IS a certified Day 1 draft bust this season.

Of course you'd never know it from all the idiotic threads posted here wowing over this kid. Compare his contribution to New Orleans' productive wideout, picked in the 7th round.

Let's just say the Captains sent him a thumbs up when they chose to make him one of the teams Captains. Graham's reported reaction was one of being really touched, but I'm also thinking the Captains were looking for someone to hold up to some of the other guys in trying to point the way forward. I can't see that kind of effort being totally ignored by the FO when negotiations start, BB for one, likes his Captains.

Really, how can you ask a team to endure the losses of players like Rodney Harrison, Willie McGinest, Adam Vinatieri, et all, and coaches like Charlie Weis and Romeo Crennel and just "keep on keeping on".

Barf. A team is greater than the sum of its parts. That's what won. We aren't losing because AV or WMG is on a different team.

I think Brady is just coming to grips with the fact that this team is just not all that special.

You ought to read the press conference. He said just the opposite.

It would be nice to have a big fast sure handed target for Brady, but they need to do a PET scan before they make any more WR decisions. Written tests and formation pop quizes just don't cut it. Smurfs tend to think quicker on their feet - maybe because they had to to survive let alone thrive.

McDaniels isn't the problem with the 2006 offense any more than Brady's body language or health was. The FO drew an imaginary line in the financial sand and Brady has been dealing with the consequences ever since. I do think after this season BB will have a greater practical appreciation for the WR position.

Some people just don't get it. They need another receiver to stay overtime and learn the system.

Reche has done a good job, but when Brady looked for his next option they weren't where they were supposed to be.

While they looked to get open and not fight for the spot they were supposed to be at, defenders were picking balls off.

That's why they cut Gabriel. It's not about being big, fast and getting open on this team.

Hopefully Gaffney gets the hint and realizes if he executes only his assignments perfectly, the catches will come.

Mo, they drafted 1 of the two top receivers and he hasn't learned enough yet to have Brady's confidence.

The guys who have succeeded her have not been premium draft picks. They've been guys willing to submerge their egos and execute exactly what they're told to even if there seems to be an open spot or they can beat their man.

Patten, Brown and Givens were very low picks or free agents. Branch was the last pick in #2 and most thought he should be a 4th rounder.

The success of our system is not the individual talent of our receivers, it is their ability to execute assignment perfectly so Brady sees every receiver where he's supposed to be when his window is there and throws to the open man.

One freelancer screws it up and let's face it, you have more flakey egomaniacs at receiver than any other position IMO.
