Stanley Cup - Boston Bruins vs Vancouver Canucks

18.5 seconds...if thats the case let them score in the first min like tampa did almost every game

thomas played lights out..i know he won't be able to keep that up so the Bs are going to have to find a way to score..you know it wont happen on the PP

Wow, what a kick in the balls.

The Bs played the game they wanted to..just couldn't score..you know vancouver can light up the scoreboard but didn't tonight..B's have to score 3 in game 2

Yup - this was there for the taking.

I don't expect Julian to do it ... but flopping Seguin and Recchi would do it for me. Peverley & Recchi alternate shifts but I'd love to see Marchand and Seguin together with Bergeron feeding them.

I'm convinced that for the B's to win Thomas needs to keep up the stellar play and Seguin is going to have to rise up like he did against TB. Pairing him with Bergeron and Marchand would be a great line.

How anyone can say they are not interested in the NHL playoffs after watching a game like that is beyond me.

TT played amazing and I think as hard as that one was to swallow, there has to be confidence planted in the Bruins that they are every bit as good as the Canucks and for the Canuck a realization that this is not gonna be a cakewalk.

The B's played great for the first two periods last night, man what a game.

To me, I get the excitement of the one game only mentality playoff of the NFL, it is the finality of it. With the NHL it is more an absolute. You have to do it over 4 series (all 4 out of 7). You know at the end of that playoff year you were the best team, without a doubt. It is a friggin grind man.

The B's have tonight, and tomorrow night to re-group. The veterns need to hammer home the fact that that was one game, let's move on. That is what I love about the patriot way. Learn from it and move on.

I have 100% confidence that the Bruins can win this series. Play Bruins hockey, make them earn it. I think the Pens did it to Detroit a couple years ago. Hit them, again and again and again. the Sedin twins will fold, or flop, like a cheap suit. Make THEM earn it.

Can't wait for game 2....

Yep - win this one -- coming home 1-1 would be awesome!!!

I think they do it, because most are counting them out.

Tim Thomas is the key, but the Bruins are simply overmatched. They have a few stars, but the Canucks have superior depth. Chara was completely drained after game1 and our best players are going to have to completely exhaust themselves every single game to make them competitive. The biggest concern is after a game or two they'll have nothing left in the tank and then it could get ugly score-wise.

some speculation that Thornton might be replacing Seguin in the lineup ...

How about Thornton replaces Recchi in the lineup Claude ... Recchi's game is toast.

I feel vancouver is the better team which they are..but if the B's can pull this one out that have a good chance...If they don't win today..i believe its over. I know they came back against montreal but vancouver is a much better team...HAVE to win this one

Another thing is don't play Boychuk in the last 5 minutes. He's been terrible on defense the past few playoff games

B's are going to have to score 3 today in order to win..i see vancouver scoring 2

Teams that win game 1 of stanley cup playoffs win 77% of the time..wow

Teams up 2-0 must be around the 90-95% area then

This game is huge

Brad Marchand reminds me a lot of Chris Drury...he is always around the puck making thing happen. He and Seguin will be great in the long term for our B's

How long is Claude going to persist with this ridiculous power play? It's not working at all.
