now that Mark Ingram is no longer on the board?

I DVR'd the draft last night on NFLN, so I couldn't switch to ESPN. My mistake! That was one of the worst spectacles I have seen. Almost every mock draft had Ingram going between 25 and 35. Don't tell that to Marshall Faulk and company. They seemed shocked as each pick came and went without Mark Ingram's name being called. I actually felt bad for Ingram, who had a camera zoomed in on his face while about five Bama teammates were taken ahead of him.

I don't know about all the Ingram stuff, I mean, I could care less if they play up that storyline or not - but you did not make a mistake by DVRing NFLN, I can tell you that.

NFLN is much better at covering the draft than ESPN, and it's not even close.

Mayock, is - by a wide margin - the best draft analyst and makes Kiper look silly. Mariucci is a great asset for that show as well.

To be honest, Faulk and Irvin don't say much, and that's fine. They aren't as comfortable with the subject matter and don't know the prospects the way Mayock and Mariucci.

ESPN's production is really quite weak compared to NFLNs.

I made the mistake early of switching to ESPN because Irvin was yapping too much pre-draft and they had Deion doing the interviews. Checked back later to see that they pretty much turned off Irvin's and Faulk's mikes and let guys who actually know something do the talking.

I still don't know Irvin, Faulk, and Sanders seem to get all the key spots on the NFL Network over former players on that network who actually add something to the broadcast like Rod Woodson.
