This morning on BSPN2 one of their clowns said she "wouldn't be surprised" if Pryor gets suspended for the hit that knocked the ol' hillbilly out of the game. Someone here at work (a Packers fan who sure didn't mind seeing Favre get clocked) said they felt it was a dirty hit; another guy told me he coaches the kids on his fifth-grade football team to hit just like that (i.e. it's totally clean.)

Discuss.

Not to sound completely biased or anything but if he gets fined for that the NFl should take a serious look at itself. There was nothing wrong with it. Thought his tachnique was spot on.

It was certainly not a dirty hit; it was a textbook tackle. He hit him in the chest, wrapped up with both arms, and drove through the QB. Just how you teach it.

HOWEVER, his helmet *did* slide up and make contact with Favre's face mask. So from that standpoint, it *was* a helmet-to-helmet hit. He won't get suspended, but he very well might get fined.

Getting suspended for that kind of hit would be terrible. He made just about the most perfect form tackle you can make. It was just hard, and Pryor happens to weight about 2x what Favre weighs. Pryor's helmet made impact on the shoulder, and slid up to the helmet.

If he gets any penalty for that hit, it will be ridiculous.

I'd be very surprised if Pryor receives a punishment for this hit. It really looked clean to me.

is there concrete evidence the top of pryor's helmet hit favre? im not convinced

Ack. If anything Favre should be fined for bringing his chin down on Pryor's helmet. Very dangerous even though he was following through on his throw, could have given Pryor a concussion.

I think he'll get fined just cause of WHO he hit and the uproar from Defensive players is going to be huge. and yes it was a perfect tackle

They are idiots. If pryor gets suspended or fined for what was a legal and clean hit..then the league has become a joke....might as well have players wear skirts. It was a good, solid, and CLEAN hit.

Pryor also had a lineman pushing him from behind right into Favre

Clean hit in my mind, nothing to be fined for.

Knowing the league tho they won't have enjoyed watching old father time being helped off the field like he was

To me too, and to every reporter I've seen comment on it. Face up, right into his chest. Sometimes guys just get hurt.

I agree with whichever "BSPN clown" who said a suspension wouldn't surprise them. It would not surprise me at all. I don't think one is deserved but with the league going over the top on the safety issue any hit like that is going to be looked at.

I dunno, I think the league kind of enjoys the injuries he piles up. As long as he can keep shambling up to the center, the story is gold for them.

Favre may not get the protection he has enjoyed in the past given the texting situation. He hasn't been good for the league this year in the eyes of Goody and company.

It's on the video, classic whiplash reaction to Pryor's hit bringing his head forward and impacting the top of Pryor's helmet. Nothing dirty, the problem is the NFL is making such a fuss about blows to the head that I can't rule out the FEDEX letter of fate.

if he gets fined we should take up acollection and pay it has fans like Pittsburgh fans are for harrison (he is using ot start a foundation)

That will be what keeps Pryor from getting fined or suspended, IMHO..

I would think Guyton is more likely to be fined, since he clearly went high, leading with the top of his helmet.
