We have one of the greatest QBs in history, and yet we can't get anything going consistently, not in any of the games. I want to be an optimist but it just isn't there yet.

I don't think we win on a neutral field against a half dozen teams.

Really? Name them. And before you do you best consider what they did today including in some cases on a home field and what they have done to date overall...

I think once Mankins comes back in, then our offense will start to REALLY click. The O-line has just been to inconsistent, not to say Brady hasn't been at fault a bit, but the O-line week in and week out needs to be held responsible.

Taylor should be back soon as well, that should help our run game significantly thus opening more of the Pass game.

Not fully sold on either side right now, plenty of room for improvement but I am very encouraged. I think the team is going to be very good by December

Well if you expect the offense to score every drive and go 07 on all teams, stop day dreaming, I thought the O was pretty solid. They converted some clutch 3rd downs and iced the game with the last drive

The Patriots (team) are ranked #1 in the NFL for PPG with 29.2.

Today we kept right on pace with that, the offense scored 28 points.

Their low output in their wins has been 23. Jets were just shut out at home while a few hours later the Pats imposed their will in the second half against a very good run D.

2007 has really warped some peoples expectations.

Well, the team is leading the league in scoring without "clicking." :confused2:

Have you been watching any of the Patriots games at all? The o-line performance has been a strength all season long.

What a peculiar thing to say.

thats fair comment. Was worried about the run game at half time. BJGE was superb.

Fred Taylor averaged 3.9 YPC before he was injured.

Since, our leading rusher (BJGE or DW) has beaten that average in 3 of 4 games.

We score 4 TD's and you start this thread?

The Vikings Score to go up 7-0. The Pats come right back and tie it up.

The Viking go on a 6+ minute drive to start the 2nd half and kick a FG go up 10-7. The Pats put together a drive and score 7 to go up 14-10. They add another TD for good measure.

The Vikings score a TD and get the 2 point coversion to get the lead down to 3. The Pats go on a clock killing drive and score a TD to put the game out of reach and force the Vikings to use their remaining time outs to boot. The Pats win 28-18.

Do you expect every friggen drive to be a 10 play 70+ yard 5+ minute drive? It is the NFL the defense gets paid to.

6 Teams scored more than 28 points today. We did it against the 5th ranked scoring defense in the NFL.

Agreed. The Pats have allowed the 2nd fewest QB hits in the league and are in the top 10 in YPC, despite fielding one of the league's weaker RB corps.

(Today) With the RBs averaging over 5 ypc, without allowing a sack and only 3 QB hits.....Lots of teams would love to 'not be clicking' like that...and averaging 28+ ppg.

The offense certainly has struggled a lot the last few weeks but I thought they put it together in the 2nd half today. The drive to stretch the lead to 10 and kill the clock was nothing short of outstanding.

I will answer your sarcastic question with a sarcasm answer.

No.

O-line performance a strength? Or a weakness disguised by a great QB getting rid of the ball effectively. The O-line looked surprisingly well throughout the first couple of games then Cameron Wake clearly exposed some weaknesses, then came Baltimore who it was pretty fair game considering that team is built to collapse the O-line, then came San Diego. The O-line was massacred. The O-line was having problems in the first half of this game also.

Mankins add a WHOLE new piece to that O-line, his fill in is doing his job, BEING a fill in, struggles as a full time starter.

Exactly. Far to many people on this board lack perspective. I've said it before and I'll say it again. More people need to actually watch games in which the Patriots do not play in. It will help them gain a better understanding of the NFL.

it hasn't been consistent, but like another poster above said I hope things will irmpove on the oline once mankins comes back.

brady for some reason is holding onto the ball too long at times. i think the receivers just aren't getting enough separation.

Specifically GB and Chicago if you want to see bad offensive line play...that will get a QB killed....

The teams that I think would beat us most of the time on a neutral field? Pitt, NYJ, NO, NYG, Balt. I don't like it, but that's what I think right now. Mostly because we can't handle the physicality of their defenses without the emotional difference from playing on a home court.

There's about a 2% difference between all of these teams.
