what happened with the D? A switch got flipped

I believe the O-coordinator of Baltimore played ultra-conservatively

by doing so...... he changed the game and the stuff that was working was being replaced with more conservative plays and they were less effective.

I love this mentality. When the Pats win the other team sucks blah, blah, blah. But when we lose we suck and it has nothing to do with the other team playing well. :bricks:

Wait, so, second half adjustments?

Yeah. I saw Crable out there too. Surprised the hell out of me to see him at crunch time. I wonder if Guyton got nicked?

I am breaking down the tape, and it appears that we went to the 33 (3-3-5) after Ninko came out with an injury near the end of the 2nd period and Fletcher got plugged in, along with Crable.

I think it then became a case of "if it's not broken, don't fix it."

Perhaps, it's like Reiss said. Our adjustment to a closer CB/WR alignment took Flacco out of rythm.

you saw Crabes????? How did he look...... I was intense at the time....... When I get that way I am very serious and I look at the play while disregarding jersey's...... I can tell who the player is normally just by looking at the play.

kida like if you know somebody and you see them walking (w/ back to you)

the playcalling changed big time for them.... just saying

How did you feel after they stopped them three times in overtime? Were you used to it by then?

They didn't really stop them the 2nd time. I think the Ravens got about 40 yards on that drive. Mesko bailed them out a bit.

Still, they were much better than the O. (They also stopped Baltimore 2 or 3 times at the end of regulation)

The playcalling changed because the Patriots started covering the Routes that were open before. The patriots made an adjustment, baltimore couldn't.

They just went to the 33 nickel exclusively in the last 2 minutes- with everyone not on the line in cover 0. They were taking advantage of Flacco's tendency to look for the rush after the first read which is a bad habit of his.

I do think that Cunningham helped a little with putting pressure on Oher, who seemed to be struggling, which meant Flacco had to worry about his right side. This would probably be stuck in his mind when making his reads.

I'm lost? Oher is a left tackle.

Cunnningham was getting the better of Oher. Atleast in the replays they kept showing on TV.

Not really sure how Oher compares to other left tackles (great movie though) but it was encouraging to say the least.

I know that Oher plays left tackle. Left tackle is usually to the left of the QB.. even in Australia .

I have watched Oher for several games this season. He finally got called yesterday for his tendency to leave early. On passing downs, he is very quick to step back to defend the rush, and on many downs it appears he is leaving early. He got called yesterday.

This team is starting to put it together. If this keeps up then we'll be back to the winning Super Bowls and not trying to win with long bombs and losing

While dropping the kid off at preschool, I tuned into to Ravens talk radio. The guys were saying the Pats D got to the QB a hell of a lot better than expected. Nice to hear.

Got to give huge props to the D, especially for hte way they stopped the run. But Harbaugh went into a shell when our CBs were hanging by a thread all day. We will learn more about the Pass D next week.

Who the hell is harbaugh?
Flacco was completing passes all day long but in the 4th Q and OT it was a different story. Give credit where credit is due. The Pats D stepped it up BIG TIME and shut down the Ravens O.
