I was just browsing on a Colts board and saw a game thread for the Pats game. I saw one or two members saying that without Moss, Brady is nothing but a dink a dunk, game manager who needs a great FG kicker to bail him out. Does anyone believe this stuff besides bitter Colts fans and Tony Dungy and the like?

I hate Peyton Manning and think he's scary ugly/goofy looking but I respect his ability as a quarterback. I happen to think Brady's better, for the same reason RyanTheColtsFan said after last year's Super Bowl...that Brady wouldn't have made that pick 6 throw. But when we play Manning, even in the playoffs, I don't feel comfortable. So why can't Colts fans admit Brady's great? Are they still bitter over us owning them during the dynasty era? I mean I was harassed in high school and I eventually got over it.

They have to live in Indianapolis. Without the Colts all they would have left is cheering for their heifer at cowpie bingo at the county fair.

Colts fans suck. That's all you really need to know.

Without Peyton Manning, the Colts are a 4-12 team. So who cares?

Anyone who knows anything about football knows that Brady is one of the best all time.

In any part of my life, I don't let the opinions of people who are ill-informed, biased or just plain dumb bother me and I try to waste as little time as possible on those opinions and with those people.

Without Moss, Brady has 3 Super Bowls. Enough said.

and NONE without Adam Vinatieri.

Just saying...

Well the same can be said for Manning. Who needed AV to score all 15 points in the 2006 playoff win against the Ravens. In fact, I argued with Cotls fans about this before and looked up the stats. AV accounted for 50% of the points the Colts scored in that championship run. As well as the Colts defense ranked 1st in most major catergories for the playoffs that year. So for all the Colts fans who claim Brady cant win a SB without AV or a great defense, they need to look in the mirror.

I wasn't sticking up for the Colts. My hate for the Colts runs as deep as my Yankee hate!

I was just pointing out the obvious.

As for Moss, I love the guy but I can't stand when Brady ignores a high percentage play and goes with a low percentage deep pass to Moss. Just move the freaking chains!

This has been beaten to death.

Two things: read the Dilfer article on why Brady was going deep to Moss.

Second, we used to complain that Brady needed to air it out more even if it was low % play. Now our complaints are reversed. The fact is, Brady didn't need to go deep to Randy for 40 yards yesterday, he had other guys open (unlike last week against the Jets) but he saw that Moss had the inside seam and he took the chance.

Consider what happens to the opposing D when they get burned deep like that.

And Ive read worse drivel from Jets fans on the gangreen board, deep down they dont believe the crap they're saying but it makes them feel a little bit better about themselves. These are fools without an identity and never matured mentally in life and live vicariously through their sports teams. basically...Losers

Howso...

did AV drive the team down the field? AV played his part, but he did not kick a 90 yard field goal.

Brady didn't throw a game winning TD ether. (I'm thinking Rams SB)

Vinatieri did his part, Troy Brown did his part (and then some) and Brady did his.

Brady is a great QB I never said otherwise. I think he does a lot more with less and doesn't throw his teammates under the bus like Manning does.

Kyle Orton put up 470 yds on the Colt defense yesterday with no Brandon Marshall on ther roster and Laurence Maroney as his feature back. Only horrendous playcalling kept the Broncs out of the end zone.
Colt fans need to be worrying about their D rather than our QB.

Greetings,

Orton also had to air it out 57 times because they were playing from behind.

Peace,

Just saying...

The snow game kick was the greatest kick of all time, the 48 yarder to beat the Rams was another great clutch kick. Without AV (or Brady)they probably don't win or even get to SB 36.

In Super Bowl 38 AV kicked the game winner(from 41) but that was because he had missed 2 others during the game. Another clutch kick but wouldn't have been needed if he had hit one of the other 2.

In Super Bowl 39 his 22 yard FG with about 8 minutes to go gave the Pats a 10 point lead. Philly scored a late TD to make it another 3 point game.

In SB 41 AV was 3 for 4 for the Colts, hitting FG's at 29, 24 and 20 yards.

With the exception of 2001 any somewhat competant kicker would have done.

Or watching hillbilly drivers drive fast cars around an oval shaped track, sitting there for hours and wishing for a crash to make the day interesting. Probably dating their first cousin, too.

Wouldn't a first cousin be considered a distant relative and deemed unappealing?

What Colts fans fail to realize is that Brady has been successful even when he had average receivers. Manning, on the other hand, has never proven he do the the same. Manning has had amazing receivers like Harrison, Wayne and Clark during his entire career. Manning hasn't proven himself in that way yet.
