That is how you beat a tampa 2 defense. Tampa 2 defense is predicated on funneling the ball to the middle of the field where you have the cover 3 as your stopgap. You will always see the outside LB and CB contain or play outside leverage on their man.

Watching the way Orton plays, it looks to me like McDaniels has him watching lots of Brady on film. the result isnt always the same, but i see similarities in their style of play (e.g. standing relaxed, and sometimes completely flat footed when he has a good pocket)

Got to say it's working. He just punched in a 60 yard TD.

I think it shows just how good a QB coach McDaniels is. Say what you like about him, but he knows which buttons to press and the right techniques to coach.
