Re: Moss on Espn live at 11.30

No, not at all. Sunday did. This had even you scared, too...

Scared? I don't really put a lot of stock in media interactions. And after a meeting with BB it shouldn't have been much worry. I didn't believe ESPN had anyone that could do an unbiased interview though, I was wrong.

Bill told him individual ego can't distract from the team however unintentionally. He says he gets it. I think he does on some level... That said, he is still prone to allowing his emotions to overrule the mantra here. He is for that reason still in a prove it situation as far as his longevity here is concerned. Baggage, as he himself stated. Hannah managed the interview with a deft hand unlike say Borges might have. Because she didn't have an agenda. Pick your spots was the message and today it worked. But like a 16 game season, gotta take it one day at a time from here on out. I hope he can manage his emotions because I absolutely want this team to win.

Mo, you act as if the guy belongs in a mental hospital. I don't get why you so openly root against him but to each his own. You also have no idea what Bill told him, so let's just leave that alone. Moss has not come close to being anything except a huge benefit to the team for 3 years. The only "prove it" there exists is prove that there's a CBA and we aren't guaranteeing money for a guy who won't see the field again until he's 35. His "baggage" was left in Oakland, he has none here.

“Personally, I appreciate him,” second-year cornerback Darius Butler(notes) said. “He’s one of the best teammates I’ve got.”

Another big liar in this giant ploy to hide their true feelings that Moss is a monster!

Re: Moss on Espn live at 11.30

It's business. Moss enjoys being the stud WR, getting paid a top 5 WR salary. But he has to know that Welker is severely underpaid and the team values Welker's contributions very much so. So the question in Moss's mind has to be...will the Patriot's expand their WR salary slot to accomodate both guys. I expect Welker to get bumped up next year with an extension. Will Moss want to take a few mill less to fit in with the Patriots' plans. His words say no, but he will be a great Patriot for this year, so pay attention you other 31 GMs. Miles Austin just got 5 years at $9mill per, Andre Johnson set the bar down in Houston....but I'm Randy Moss...and you guys haven't done half the sh*t I have. Unless Moss feels he's getting paid his full value, he'll move on and get the dollars he knows are out there. That's Pro Sports

When have his words said no? He hasn't been offered a single thing. That's why he's afraid, it's not that he doesn't feel he will be offered enough. He's afraid he won't be offered anything at all, and he really really really does not want to leave NE.

Randy handled the interview well but it definitely seemed like Hannah Storm was trying to prod him into saying something controversial. And ESPN interviews usually don't last 10 minutes like this one did. They wanted him to start ranting again, but he did a good job of avoiding it. I liked his comments toward Revis as well.

Re: Moss on Espn live at 11.30

Kraft: "Apologize publicly and give my son Jonathan a sponge bath, then we'll talk"

Careful, Borges is going to take this comment as serious, and suck up to Randy some more.

Randy should thank Hannah Storm. She is articulate and frames questions very well, shows humor and understanding. Randy is playing right off her and showing himself in a good light.

Storm has been around since the early 80s. She knows how to do her job and the ESPN hacks could take a real lesson from her as to how to conduct an interview. She articulately explains both sides of the argument and then offers it up to the person she's interviewing.

Indeed. She killed it today. Didn't try to set Randy up to potentially say something "juicy" about BB and the team in order to gain ratings. She came off as a true journalist. While I don't like that Moss went to the media in the first place to express his frustration, I admire why he felt compelled to do so. He really wants to stay here. He seems to genuinely like the area, the fans, and his teammates. Personally, I wouldn't mind another contract offer to Moss. He's still one of the premier deep threats in the league.

Also, Hannah's gotten much hotter since she's gotten older.

I am watching it now andRandy is spot on and he is strictly a class person. He did very well... and they showed his leading the team in cheers post game yesterday. HE IS A CLASS ACT....

Yeah. Don't show that to MLR. It would destroy his entire world.

See, you don't have to be psychic, just observent. We all know what the problem is. What some of us are struggling to reconcile is what the mantra here is. Mentally tough, team first, do business in private, don't ever be a distraction, etc. Do your job...do your job - and if you do, you will get what you deserve - to paraphrase Bill's play like a champion mantra.

Re: Moss on Espn live at 11.30

Flipping the dial I heard Felg around 6PM, a caller (too long windedly) tried to tell Felg exactly what Kraft said but Felg interrupted and would have none of it, asking "You believe that?" in a condescending manner. I have never ever hit a guy 1st but with that snarky doofus, I would make an exception.

You and me both PWP. To hear a guy that is constantly wrong insult others by talking down to them, is hard to listen to. I can't listen to him on 98.5 anymore. It's just too painful. He knows so little, but acts like he's right. He's unlistenable anymore.

And it's his fourth year of doing his job, so why are you blowing out a press conference as some sort of anti-team mantra which it clearly was not and not a single teammate agrees with you.

I would have asked if he's calling Mr. Kraft a liar. Either way, I think us patriots fans would win if he answers.

didnt hear the intevew but depends a lot on the interviewer. if they want him to step on landmines they can. so maybe whoever talked to him was not looking to get contrvesial remarks.

Hi, never posted here before, but since I've been reading about this today I thought I might. So, hi all.

Let me say that I'm a Pats fan as well as a Moss fan. My nickname for Randy is "sticky hands" since I'd swear he uses glue to catch some of these passes! He's certainly not unappreciated in my household!

But I don't know, maybe Randy has a point about being unappreciated, maybe not. Here are some numbers on the financial side. I personally don't think he's exactly financially unappreciated, but it does seem he could get better offers. He is after all quite a "catch"!

Aaron Hernandez on the importance of Moss to the Pats offense

Asked if he was surprised at how open he was on the pass from Brady “Not really because I knew that when you send Randy on a deep route, everyone’s going to go with him,’’ he said. “So I knew there was a good chance they were going to run with him because he’s such a deep threat, and I was wide open on a ‘7’ route, flag route, and I knew I was open, and I just tried to make a play with it.’’

Having Moss on the field helps all of the receivers.

“With him on the field, you have to respect him because what he’s done and what he still can do, and he’s still one of the biggest deep threats in the game, and if you send him deep you better put people on him, because he’ll still beat you no matter how old he is,’’ Hernandez said. “With a player like that on the field it opens it up for everybody, and that’s one of the reasons why we’re so successful in our offense.’’
