Doubtful that it is a high ankle sprain...likely just a normal ankle sprain. If it was a high sprain we would have heard about it already beyond the original source.

Fortunately, one skill that's seemed to carry over from college to rookies a few times is pass rushing.

I imagine that for quite a while Cunningham won't be useful for much EXCEPT putting his hand down and rushing, but if he's good at that, it will be a huge boon for the team.
