It's easy, and only takes a few moments. And it gets better, since this is a one game at a time team: Cincinnati has two big physical WRs, I'd rather line Meriweather up at CB with Butler and let McCourty have some time to get used to NFL regular season game speed.Or it could be that Merriweather has CB skills and actually saw a substantial amount of time at CB during his rookie TC. Not to mention what he did while he was at Miami, whenever they went up against a big time receiver they moved Merriweather to CB and had him cover him.
What you call made up, I call deductive reasoning...

I wonder if Ross Ventrone or one of the reserve WRs get CB game reps against NYG? Ventrone's Pro-day numbers compare well to Samuel, Hobbs, Wheatley, and Wilhite. Jenkins, Farnham, Tate, and Price all played DB in high school, not to mention Welker.

Next stop, Ty Law.
well, I for one, thank you for bringing some laughter to this thread of depressing comments.
The way people are posting, you'd think Brady was IR'd. But wait! Pats went 11-5 with Brady on IR. Hell, they won it all while having Earthwind Moreland in the secondary. Surely the season isnt over just because Bodden went on IR.
This team is a long way from competing for a Championship this year, although thanks to the lack of end product from the 2006-8 drafts we have said that the last few years. Injuries are out of Belichick's control but I find the fact that he has failed to adequately address the passrush problem again troubling, and it might leave out young secondary exposed.
This team still has enough about it with the offense and good coaching to win the AFC East but at this point in time I see little to suggest we can do better than a 11-5/10-6 regular season and an early playoff exit. Too many holes and too many question marks. We desperately need this rookie class to contribute big time. till, there's going to be some shootouts to look forward to
No kidding.
This board is almost as bad now with the lost of a decent, but hardly MVP, CB as it was when Tom went down.
Every year, every team deals with loss of players. Not have Bodden doesn't hurt our secondary nearly as much as not having MEvi$ Island hurts our division rival.
Right now the Patriots are undefeated. I can't panic about the teams prospect when they are undefeated.
At Safety. :snob:Moss also had as many INTs as Chung and Springs last season
Give it more time then we can start sifting through more released players maybe the Lions will gut my main man Dre Bly...
I'll settle for someone a bit younger and more active playing with the same spirit of adventure.Four letters Box,,,,,,,,,,,,,,O.T.I.S.
While I disagree with your rankings of Bodden..I still agree with the team making a move. (So Bodden in top of middle third....so???? maybe low 60s out of top 100??? OR??? Seems a bit low to me...and what of their OTHER CBs....don't wish to know...)Bodden is OK and at this point the best CB NE had, but I'd have to rank him somewhere in the middle 1/3 of CBs in the NFL. Maybe on the upper end of that group.
Me thinks a Vet will get cut and BB will sign him up. And, if that doesnt work there will be a trade.
BB is a problem solver and he knows this NE offense has the potential to be something great with a healthy Brady.
Yes but Ty Warren was another one , and Mankins was another one, and Nick Kaczur was another one.
Forget it.
He's on a roll.
* And, yes: you ARE required to watch that movie, before posting again. :snob:

I considered Slater, but BB likes his CBs quick, Slater is fast, which is why he played Safety. You forgot Slater...who has played DB for them in the past in the preseason and regular season. If they were to use a reserve WR as a DB it would be him over one of the no-chance guys.
