I don't think he makes it out of the top 10. Ultimately what the Rams do will determine where Clausen goes, but from Seattle at #6, to Jacksonville at #10, all those teams could realistically use a QB long term. The question is what do the Rams do. If I were the Rams, I'd move out of #1 if they want Bradford, since no team inside the top 5 is likely to take a QB. I think they should take Suh #1, but that's me. However, if they are set on Sam B, then why not work a deal with one of the teams behind you for the top spot. I'm sure Washington would move to #1, to take Suh. Wouldn't Tampa love to leap frog the Lions? Even if all you pick up is a first day pick or two, I think it's worth it from the Rams perspective. Absolute worst case, someone takes Bradford, and the Rams take Clausen. I could be wrong, but I think Clausen is going to be a terrific pro. Attitude questions and all.
I don't think it would work because Detroit would then trade #2 to a team wanting Bradford. Bottom line for me, if you think you've found your QB, take him, don't out think yourself.I'm with you. If I were the Rams, I think I'd inform Tampa that barring a trade, I'm taking Suh. Invite a trade offer from the Bucs, who REALLY don't want to be cut out from the 2 impact DTs.
If Tampa bites, I take Bradford at #3 overall -- a significant savings -- and pocket an extra pick.

So, in other words, is he a bad quarterback, or a terrible quarterback?
I just don't like to mess around with QB. If you love the guy then take him whatever the cost. If you don't love him take someone else. I guess I remember the Colts' tough decision on Manning vs. Leaf too much; good thing for them they didn't trade downBut how many teams really have the desire and draft firepower to trade to #2 for Bradford?[
I do understand the "if you think you've found your QB idea," though. I guess part of my premise is that I'm not so convinced Bradford is head and shoulders above to start with. (Actually, his head is fine -- it's just the shoulders I'm worried about. )

If Tampa bites, I take Bradford at #3 overall -- a significant savings -- and pocket an extra pick. If not, I go ahead and take Suh then position myself to land Clausen or McCoy later in the first. (Plus if the Bucs thought I was bluffing about Suh, they might be willing to trade after seeing the reality.)
How'd you get Madden 11 already?
If I was Tampa and you called me about that I'd tell you to go eff yourself, enjoy having Suh, and have fun trying to get a decent QB because some random team like Oakland decides to draft Clausen.

Here's the question: are quarterbacks the exception to every rule? Is that the one position where you should take the position over the player, where you draft purely for need, bypassing significantly better prospects? Since the Rams need a QB, they MUST take one at #1 overall -- committing their future to a guy with repeated shoulder injuries?
I'm not convinced.
No - but if there's one they like then they must take him. You have to trust your scouts and doctors and then your coaches to develop him. If you're told his shoulder is fine and that he's that good they, yes, they MUST take him.Since the Rams need a QB, they MUST take one at #1 overall
