As you guys have known me, I've been a long-time Cowboys fan posting here(throughout much of this offseason, I've been in your political/religious forums mostly).
Adams is going to be SORELY missed(unless Jerry and Wade address LT in the draft - considering Jerry's track record with OL, I doubt it) - Doug Free has turned out good, but he is NOT LEFT TACKLE material. He's a fine RT, but he can NOT handle the bull rushers(i.e. Jared Allen took him to the woodshed in that playoff game when Adams went down).
Adams may be dirty, and a knucklehead with all of his false starts, however, he's a VERY fine pass blocker - Osi, Trent Cole, and Andre Carter in the NFCE are among the best pass rushers in the league, and he's kept them in check every time.
Also - when Adams went down in 2005 - Drew Bledsoe went from having a Pro Bowl year to running for his life.
As for Hamlin - now we're going to have holes at safety. Hamlin isn't great, but he's been GREAT in Wade's system. Now? Alan Ball, Gerald Sensabough...it's just a BIT better than Roy Williams/Keith Davis under Parcells.
