Buccaneers letting Antonio Bryant walk

The Miami Dolphins are interested in a pair of veteran unrestricted free agent wide receivers.

According to a league source, Baltimore Ravens unrestricted free agent wide receiver Derrick Mason and Tampa Bay Buccaneers unrestricted free agent wide receiver Antonio Bryant are both on the Dolphins' radar.

Nothing is imminent or in the works at this stage, though.

Mason wants a two-year commitment from the Ravens, but contract talks have not progressed even though both sides are amenable to potentially working something out.

The Buccaneers moved on from Bryant, saying they wanted to go younger at wide receiver.

Of course, they would also like to spend less money.

The Dolphins could be a dangerous team this season. They always have a pretty decent defense. If Brown returns they can still run the wildcat with Brown and Williams which was very effective last season. Also Henne showed signs that he could be a decent QB. The only positioning that they lacked last year was WR. If they can address this need this off season they could be a dangerous team next year.

Both the Jets and Dolphins are already looking to make their teams better. I think 2010 could be one of the most competitive AFC East races in recent memory.
