It’s one thing to talk about working hard. It’s another thing to do it and to make sure your teammates do it, too.

Mike McLaughlin helped lead Boston College to yet another bowl season, keeping the defense steady from his spot at middle linebacker (aka “Mike” – go figure). His on-field production and off-field work should get him a close look from the NFL this spring.

McLaughlin took a few minutes to discuss the Eagles and exactly what this “hard work” thing is all about.

Q&A with BC Linebacker Mike McLaughlin

Good job! ..

What is his 40 time?

What is his 40 time?

You should pay more attention to his 10-yard split time. If your defense needs him to cover anywhere near 40 yards, time will be the least of your worries.

Yep, the 40 time is the most overhyped piece of data out there.

Didn't McGlaughlin long snap at the East /West Shrine game? His leadership can't be overlooked. Two year captain, loss of Herzlich, team picked to finish last in their division. If he can run in the 4.7 range he will get the opportunity to make a team. He has special teamer written all over him. He might end up like Larry Izzo and make a career out of it!

Is Herzlich entering next year's draft?

I'd love to give Mike McLaughlin a look see.
