Nice debating with you. Keep thinking games are won between the 1st and 3rd quarter.

So, when the Pats were up 52-0 after 3 against the Titans, clearly that game was won in the 4th quarter.

How about throughout 2007, when people claimed our pass rush was made more effective late in the game because of the leads we built up. Those games weren't won in the 1st through 3rd?

EVERY quarter is important, the 4th is just the one you remember the freshest.

If you are behind at the end of the 1st, 2nd or 3rd quarters the game isn't over. If you are behind at the end of the 4th quarter you lose.

4th quarter is much more important.

As long as you realize that this is absolutely nonsensical, we'll all be fine.

And a touchdown scored in the first, second, or third quarter is only worth 6 points, whereas one scored in the fourth is worth... oh, wait.

The fourth quarter is more important, simply because, as your kinda-sorta pointed out, that's the quarter where close games are decided by the small adjustments that you make that the other team never has a chance to react to and counter, but a lot of people are overstating it to a pretty huge degree. In fact, if anything I'd argue that the game swung in the 3rd quarter, not the fourth.

The end of the 4th quarter contains data from the first 3. How the hell is this a hard concept for you two?
