Crompton's stock rises

'"Crompton is a bona fide NFL quarterback," said Bernie Kosar, a former NFL QB and the Nation team's QB coach. "He has all the tools to be great. The bread-and-butter route in the NFL is the comeback, and Crompton throws that route better than most NFL starters."'

"The Crompton Camp has already met with the Dallas Cowboys, Seattle Seahawks, Arizona Cardinals, New England Patriots, Tennessee Titans, Carolina Panthers, Washington Redskins, Denver Broncos, St. Louis Rams, New Orleans Saints, Kansas City Chiefs, Pittsburgh Steelers and several other teams, including the Jacksonville Jaguars, who sent its entire scouting staff along with its general manager to watch the former Vols' QB."

I like Crompton a lot. I don't know why he's playing in this game, as opposed to others. It says here that he has a better NFL career than Bradford or McCoy, as well as every other QB out there besides Clausen.

Still hoping a good game from Easley solidifies him as a draft pick. Whichever team gets him will be getting a treat.

When I read;
"Positive reviews are deserved for strong Kentucky guard Zipp Duncan, solid Maine left tackle Tyler Eastman and mauling center Eddie Adamski,"

I get interested,,,
A strong guard and a mauling center,,,

And from the NFL insider aticle,
C Eddie Adamski, Northern Illinois: Adamski has been one of the better interior linemen down in El Paso. He is strong, refuses to be bull-rushed, and uses his hands well.

I broke down and changed my DirecTV package to subscribe to CBS College Sports just because the OL reports have been so intriguing and the Pats have a history of using the "lesser" All-Star games for OL.

Hmm... Just looked at the numbers on Adamski. Only 6'2 and 282 lbs.. And we had issues with Koppen at 295...

On a seperate note, Duncan is listed at OT/OG, but he needs to put on some 20 lbs if he's going to play inside at the NFL level. Came in at 6'4 and 284.

That being said, Adamski supposedly excels in zone blocking schemes with excellent technique... Definitely going to be interesting to see who he matches up with..

Wendell was listed smaller then Adamski when he came out of Fresno State, but a year on the Practice Squad and he was battling Connolly for the #2 C/#3 G slot. I'm not looking for first year starters, but kids who are technically sound and strong enough to make it to the Scarnecchia Big Men Can Dance Academy.

Wendell was 6'2 and 286 . But I get your point.. It's why I added the part about the zone blocking..

That was his "estimated" weight on NFL Draft Scout, but they never reported on his Pro Day weigh-in so we only have the "unofficial" roster for the Pats with his reported weight when he was signed. 275 back at ya.
