Re: Holley say AD is finished

Umm.. if you took it as an insult. That is your problem. How about you "stop whining and be an adult."
You know, you might take note of the number of people who are agreeing with Brady to Brown's original post to you and take a good hard look at YOURSELF.

Signed,

Just another idiot

He's finished! Through! Cue Dean Faber in Animal House.

What does that ssay about our dear leader, BB, that he hired such a deadbeat? He is a poor judge of character, he is.

Why not develop young, cheap linebackers? Why pay 35M for this deadbeat? Why in the world should this lousy bum ad try hard if he's already a multi multi millionaire? He's worried about his stock portfolio, not how to rush the passer...couldn't care less about that.

Brilliant, BB, just brilliant.

Out of the Gen. George S. Patton playbook: Never play another down? "Hell no, my friend, you're going to the front". I'd put Thomas on kickoffs & punt returns.

No I gave him five stars. Anyways he must have fifteen or twenty stars by now.

Absolutely. Now, without the ability of hindsight, list in detail what the Patriots coach must do with the roster, including the draft and free agency for the next year. Don't worry, no one here will mock you, trust me.

If he's truly finished, why don't they make up an injury and throw him on IR so that they're not just wasting a roster spot? It makes no sense. If he's still on the roster BB must be willing to give him another chance through practice or whatever to get his role back.

Yep, the Patriots really need to be accused of doing something shady right now.

The league would be all over that, and I doubt Bill wants to lose another first rounder.

I mean maybe not IR specifically but for example how does the 'deactivation' option work like when the Bucs did it to Keyshawn in '03... does it open up a roster spot?

I don't know that that route still exists, but I believe that whenever a player is suspended (i.e., unable to practice with his team), that player does not count against the 53-man roster, although his salary does count against the cap.
