Signs point to Vollmer suffering concussion/inactive for Monday night

Today's injury report came out. Vollmer did not participate, again.

He has not participated all week. This is a big issue, and the only thing that would keep him out for an entire week would be a serious injury.

I dont know the exact details of that but its possible that Vollmer was not diaognosed with a concussion during the game

He did a decent job last year in spot duty I think (or the year before, can't remember). Obviously not something we want long term, but for one game we can manage. Do the Saints have a stud pass rusher we have to worry about, or do they apply more spread out pressure?

I read that and didn't get any strong certainty one way or another as to whether he in fact was concussed or whether or not he will be available to play Monday...

I assumed a concussion when he left the game but dismissed that somewhat when he returned and played fine. Maybe he has had some after effects that indicate he got a little more than his bell rung, or he injured something in his head other than the brain... or maybe Bill just thinks the kid needed a blow since he's been doing a tremendous job since Light went down and Light needs reps to practice his way back into the gametime mix.
