It's a slow day at the office today...you probably shouldn't encourage me. Oops, too late!

Dear Jay,

You know, kid, I really like your style! And with a little mentoring, I think you could REALLY wow 'em for years to come with some good, ol' fashioned gunslinging (TM Like A Kid Out There, Inc.)

Maybe when I'm done with this whole "making the Packers sons of bi...errrr, organization PAY!!!!" thing and retire next year, we can put some Wranglers on and toss the ol' pigskin around at the farm. Well, maybe not next year. Not sure. I'll get back to you on that.

Your Hero (and mine),

Brett Favre

I truly believe that Cutler has all the intangibles and strong accurate arm to become the next great QB but there is something wrong in his head that is making him look like an average joe.

I think after watching him the past few miserable games is that he looks a bit immature and lost,I think not having Marshall as a target has destroyed his confidence.

At times last year Cutler to Marshall looked like the early comings of Montana to Rice,Things have changed considerably since then.

You don't seem to know what intangibles are. He's got all the measurables, none of the intangibles, zero, zip. He doesn't like to study film, he hasn't got a clue how to lead, his ego doesn't grasp why his talent alone doesn't suffice since by his own admission he has a stronger arm than Elway... His mistakes were excused at Vanderbilt because he didn't have talent to work with. He did in Denver and it didn't make a bit of difference because he made the same careless, stupid mistakes. He can compile empty stats like there's no tomorrow. He showcased that in the Senior Bowl. No one ever told him there is more to being a quarterback than that. Making consistently good decisions under pressure, consistent disciplined execution coaches and teamates can count on, dedication to detail and work ethic, setting the tone and example for an entire organization. Shanny catered to him and it ended up costing him a job. Their bond became ego, each fluffing the others while the franchise floundered around them both. See a lot of that in the NFL.

Eli remains an enigma in part because it's clear he really tries even if his results are inconsistent. Cutler's attitude is **** happens, nbd. He cannot lead younger teamates down the right path, and veterans will tire of him in short order because at best he's not gonna make a difference in their NFL lifetimes. He's a coach killer. That's why Josh rolled the dice when push came to shove. Smartest decision he's ever made besides going to work for BB.

It is extremely slow here at work too, but I've got one more hour to go. I'll try my best not to encourage you next time, but it may be hard. :biggrin2:

LOL - nice try, haha. Seriously, who could have predicted that level of suckitude from Cutler? Man am I glad I swapped in the 49er's D on my fantasy team this weekend.

Eh, I didn't think he was that bad honestly. Not good by any means, but Hester was directly responsible for 2 of the picks (he fell down after the ball was thrown on one, and ran into the ref after the ball was thrown in the other).

The bears offensive line is terrible. Pace is cooked. Beekman still needs to learn to play, and Garza is getting close to washed up. Kreutz can still block reasonably well, but he can't snap the ball without bouncing it off the ground. Williams looks like he has talent, but hes raw.

Cutler isn't perfect, but hes not the problem in Chicago (and yes, I have seen every bears game this year). He's the best starter on the entire offense.
