I didn't know the betting sites did actual breakdowns.

I love the opener:

Remember when the Patriots struggled out of the gate this season? No? Neither does anyone else.

New England has been on fire as of late, winning their last two games by a combined score of 94-7 before taking last week off with a bye.

Granted, those two teams were the Titans and Bucs, but the methodical decimation of both of those teams prove the Patriots are back in championship form. Tom Brady seems to finally be healthy again after knee surgery, Wes Welker has three straight 100-yard games and the defense ranks third in the league in yards allowed per game, a stingy 285.7 yards.

Miami is coming off an interesting week. The Dolphins beat the NY Jets 30-25 despite being outgained on offensive yards 378-104. The Fish were able to win because Ted Ginn Jr. went absolutely nuts on special teams, returning two kick returns for touchdowns in the same quarter. There is no way the Dolphins will be able to do that again, so they’ll have to find other ways to beat the scorching New England team.

I look at it this way:

The Dolphins have a very good rushing attack, and a fairly mediocre passing attack. Take away the run, and make Henne beat you through the air. If Henne can beat you through the air, you don't deserve to win that football game.

That's what the Jets thought and did. The one thing they forgot to do was show up on special teams to tackle a guy named Ginn. I don't see the Pats making those mistakes, besides I think Brady will have a great day throwing today. Ideal conditions and a depleted secondary.

Concur. I am pretty certain that the Patriots ST coaches had them reviewing those JETS tapes. I don't expect Ginn to repeat that performance either. He might be able to gain a few more yards on returns than we'd like, but he won't be breaking one to the house today.

The only thing that will prevent the Pats from winning is the wildcat. Plain and simple. Ronnie Brown is only as good as the wildcat is. The only reason the 'phins won last week was because Ted Ginn and that Dirty can't complete a pass to save his life.
