I remember when everyone made a big deal about Rick Mirer sucking a wiener on the sidelines too. But when Mirer did it, he wasn't nearly as secretive about it. Sanchez obviously didn't want to be seen sucking the wiener down.

It is a funny sight, but not a big deal really. Probably should not have done it because people might take it as a slap to the Raiders, but it really isn't a big deal.

Hot Dogs are so loaded with sodium ... rather strange choice. Stadium favorites popcorn, chips/cheese, hot dogs, pretzels ... all loaded with salt ... then again so is gatorade.

This is bizarre. How did he get a hotdog on the bench? If I had a queasy stomach, a hotdog is the LAST thing I'd reach for. Just goes to show that Sanchez is still very much a kid.

Yep, it's the furtiveness that makes it funny. I couldn't care less if the guy got the munchies, but it's hilarious watching him hold it down between his knees, gobbling fast, hoping that somehow none of the throng of fans and cameras will notice! In fact, it almost made him likeable for a minute, until I noticed the jersey.

Starting QBs in the NFL have a camera on them full time from the minute they walk out on the field for warmups until they walk back into the tunnel at the end of the game. If we want to see Brady's reaction to McGowans tackle on 2nd and 9, its on tape. If we want to see O'connell smiling halfway through the defensive series following his 3rd and out, its out there somewhere.

Sanchez probably doesn't know this. May not be the case in the Pac 10. If Mangini fine his player $1800 for a bottle of water, what would the hot dog cost during a game?
