If Junior Seau can come back — again — then why not Pat Patriot?

"This is the third time I've come out of retirement,” Pat said, puffing a bit after practicing Thursday with the Patriots in preparation for Sunday's game.

Pat admits he's not in the best of shape. He is, after all, 50 years old. His waistcoat looks a little tight around the tummy, and the waistband of his breeches is bigger than it used to be. But when his old team calls, the old guy answers.

"Just like Junior,” Pat says, flashing that crooked smile so familiar to Patriots fans. "Besides, I'm not that much older than he is.”

... even though they haven't played well in them this year.
