Official Pats/Ravens POST GAME Discussion

hi guys,

i saw the game live in overseas and i have to say, not the best effort but a very young defence finding slowly themselves and a W against the 2009 baltimore is in m.o. a very good W.

hope to see some of you in london. block 140.

go pats and this weekend GO Saints.

Meriweather today was a beast! He is all around the field!

?

I thought it was less close than the score. The Pats dominated all game; granted, they fell apart in the last five minutes, so whatever.

Lucky? 14 points offensively against a very good offensive unit?

Be quiet lad.

Hey Brit, I agree it was a great win! Although, I am disappointed with the offense on the drive after the great defensive stop. Also, not too big to admit the drop probably happens 1 out of 10 times. You have a problem with that? lad?

Beautiful game guys, well done.

You guys have any room for me on the Merriweather bandwagon? Looks like Ed Reed 2.0

I agree that Flacco is good; my beef is with those commentators.

I don't get the hype around all these teams, honestly. ATL, BAL. ATL is bad. BAL—I was nervous going into this game but the media really underplays how good the Pats are.

The media did what the media does. At the end of the day, it's about the teams on the field, and we seem to have a really tough team that is weathering the early-season miscues and evolving into what should be a pretty scary team in the latter part of the season. Brady looks to be getting a little better and more comfortable every weak, Welker in the offense makes an OBVIOUS difference, we seem to have a running game (when we want to stick with it), and the defense continues to show that they'll be nasty later on. We've never been as young and as fast on defense as we are right now (yes, that includes the 03-04 teams).

This defense will be a force later in the year. Lots of stars inthe making.
Flacco is a pretty good QB. Hope the beat the Squeelers.
The O is getting better but still not there yet.
Maroney has got to go.
Take away the Brady fumble and we win a but easier.
Solid win and effort all around.

the negative whining in this thread today was embarrassing to anyone who understands the game...this team deserves better support! Move to Detroit or Cleveland...

Agree 100% it's unbearable at times....I don't mind questioning calls or talking about players playing poorly but this s**t has to stop...after every play people are whining about something...this was a great great win against a very good Ravens team..we are 3-1 now and moving in the right direction...hoping the Saints can smack the Jets now

Meriweather today was a beast! He is all around the field!

Some preseason pundits were saying Meriweather could make the Pro Bowl this year.

And, as far as Butler goes, there's a reason why he made All-Big East first team last year despite no INTs at all.

Great, solid, encouraging win against a really good Ravens team.

Anyone notice Harbaugh's classless handshake? It was Mangini-esque!

Don't think it was classless. They are friends and Belicheck vouched for Harbaugh during his interview process with us.

Good game guys.. We didn't deserve to win this game, but we almost earned it at the end. Hopefully, it is different next time.

BTW We were unbelievably unbalanced in that game, I think it would have been a little bit different if we didn't mistake our identity.

Id like to see Bodden and Butler as the corners and McGowan and Merriweather at the Safties. When Mayo comes back move Guyton to Will.

McGowan and Meriweather were the starters today... Bodden and Springs started at the Corners..

My only beef is the defense against the run.. Ray Rice ripped them apart and Baltimore didn't use him running the ball enough.

Flacco is showing that he's going to be one of the next best QBs.. He showed a LOT of poise today and bounced back after the Milachi Crunch by McGowan and Sanders.

C'mon, let's not talk about "classless" handshakes. Our coach probably invented those handshakes.

No 10 jets 0

Suggs press confernce, roughing the passer, refs protect some QBs more than others, with a smirk....

People are saying our D is "coming together" but today was a big sign that they are here. We really opened up the schemes book and threw more blitzes than we have in the first 3 games.

It's scary to think what will happen when Mayo comes back.

However our offense needs to continue to improve. They were good on red zone conversions in the first half, 3 for 5.

But in the 2nd half, they were 1 for 9.

That has to change.

That was one of the most epic hits I've seen in a while. Lot's of reasons for Flacco to load up his iPod and hit the Ice Tub for a looooong soak.

this

One mistake and people are calling it game over.

The only thing that got me frustrated this game were the offsides penalties and the playcalling on our last drive. Our defense makes a tremendous stand, gives the offense a chance to put the game away and we burn a quick minute and give it back.

Well, here is another one that will be played on for years to come. I wish we would have ran the ball more, but we were in position for a chance at victory in the end we came up short. Joe put the ball on the money Clayton wont sleep well tonight.

again,Great game guys! Tom is back! Good luck for the rest of the season and thanks for having me.

Patriots are a damn good team, not that I thought otherwise before.

Um, not the place for this, but thanks for the update. The Jets are not who everyone thinks they are and they'll be exposed. They beat a badly "out-of-sync" NE team, a terrible Texans team, and what seems to be a terrible team in Tennessee. They'll get exposed soon enough.

Feel free to hop aboard! I actually said that back in August. http://www.patsfans.com/new-england...knows-its-time-step-up-page2.html#post1454886

I should have put a smiley face, I was just being sarcastic about the handshake.

Your team is damn good! I am glad we beat one of the better teams in the NFL.

As I said, it was sarcasm.
