Zona cut Victor Hobson if we get desperate for ILB depth. We had him in camp last year, and he played for Mangini, so he should be pretty familiar with the system.

The Giants cut both Rhomar and Woodson, and are going into the season with just 2 quarterbacks as of right now.

Woodson doesn't surprise me in the slightest. He was clearly on the wrong page with his WRs more than once and his accuracy was terrible.

Wow, how about the Packers waiving QB Brian Brohm? Their 2nd-round draft pick last year (38 picks before O'Connell) and at the time the pundit wisdom was that Green Bay got a steal on this 1st-round-value guy, while Chicago was idiotic to pass him over for RB Matt Forte.

I remember reading someone saying that Atlanta had taken someone else at 3, and got Brohm late in the first because he was going to become a star.

Just shows how ridiculous day-after "draft grades" are -- and how little your draft status matters once you hit the field. (Except in one respect...the Packers must be taking a serious cap hit cutting a 2nd rounder after one year.)

Yeah, but he's been in the WCO (it has very specific terminology) all his career. IMO, It would take quite a while for him to catch on to the Pats' system. Assuming he could do it at all.

Plus, I've heard he really wants to be a starter. With those delusions of grandeur I'm concerned he wouldn't be a good soldier.
