OT: Manny Selling Boston Condo

Manny Ramirez is severing one of his last ties to Boston.

The former Red Sox outfielder put his Boston penthouse condominium on the market for $8.5 million on Wednesday, the same day he agreed to a $45-million deal with the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Michael Doherty of City Life Real Estate, the listing broker for the 37th-floor condominium at the Residences at the Ritz-Carlton, tells the Boston Herald it's the "most magnificent apartment" in the city.

In addition to panoramic views of the city, the 4,500-square-foot condo has four bedrooms, six bathrooms and three valet parking spaces.

He's asking almost $3 million more than what he paid for it.. Manny hasn't figured out that the economy is in the crapper, along with the housing market.. He still thinks its the year 2000.. Good luck getting a third of that $8.5 mill for an 'apartment'..

And why is ESPN reporting this? I know it's Manny all the time over there.. He used to work in Boston, but now he's in LA.. So, he sells his home.. I imagine the next headline will be 'Manny Buys Car in LA'...

I'm not sure that the $5M+ apartment market is all that affected.
