Peppers = Weight: 283
Taylor = Weight: 244

I think a better comparison is Taylor to Rosevelt Colvin, though even Colvin played at 250#

Taylor is just a very lightweight guy, expecially given his height.

Any word on Colvin's intentions this coming season?

Well, if he doesn't go to us then I sure as hell do not want to see him in our division. Hit him up, Billy!

Yes. Miami ran a hybrid defense for a while that relied on Taylor's ability to play in a 3-point and standing up as an elephant/jack linebacker.

Interesting. Wasn't aware of this. When was this? Also, how did he look?

i don't want him.

Pats should sign Taylor to a cap friendly deal in return for giving him a chance to play on next years SB team. With Taylor in hand the Pats can then wait out the Panthers until they get desperate and trade Peppers for a couple of 2nd's.

Then line Taylor and Peppers as OLB's and pair Thomas and Mayo up inside and watch the Pats dominate.

Must admit when I just read this on NFL.com I was a little intrigued. Wonder if there'd be any interest on a one year deal...

He would have to convince BB that his head is in the game and he can focus on football rather than his post-football career. That's what drove Parcells from Taylor in the first place.

Ask Matt Cassell how he looked. He dropped into coverage, picked him off and ran it back for TD, sending Cassell back to the bench and Brady back on the field.

Most of his work in the 3-4 came when Saban was there.

You are aware Nick Saban coached Miami for two seasons, yes? And that Jason Taylor won the Defensive Player of the Year award in 2006, his 2nd year in Saban's system?

Good god. Can you guys imagine a starting LB corps of Taylor, Mayo, A.D., and Peppers? I think I would blow my load instantaneously upon hearing news of that.

Again, this would not make the opposing team's laundry guy very happy at ALL.

What are you smoking? Is there any sane reason to think that BB would throw $$$$ at Peppers?

Taylor wants to be near his kids. Tampa has come a calling.

Yes, but wasn't he still playing DE most of the time?
