Nice try... it's kind of entertaining watching you tip-toe around what you originally meant. Keep re-interpreting for me please.
 
In person I saw that after the play Vrabel looked at where the play ended from his vantage point in the backfield and put his hands out palms-up at his side. You know, the "what the hell?" hands signal. I don't know if they showed that on TV. It seemed like he was asking what the heck someone else was doing on the play, or maybe he didn't know what he was supposed to be doing. Clearly it showed some confusion.

After that play was over I said to myself "game over".

Just finished watching (again) the replay on NFLN on Demand. Right before the snap, Vrabel briefly pointed to Keller and seemed to be looking at Mayo. However, right after the snap, Mayo sprinted straight backwards, with his back to Keller. Either Vrabel or Mayo def. blew his assignment.

or merriweather if he was supposed to come in on the play. It was a collective fail on that side of the coverage.

Lots of people weigh 220 lbs, but not many can lay the lumber. Hitting hard has more to do with explosion and technique, than sheer size. Of course size plays a roll, but explosion is the deal breaker. Meri needs to work on his strength, and he will get better.

HEAVY Squats+cleans+jerks+deadlifts and the kettleball = heavy hits. It takes time.


Clearly, I was saying that meriweather needs to build some strength and explosion though heavy compound movements, and that it would take time. All the movements I listed will build lean mass, improve strength and also explosion. Wow, you are that clueless?

How big is Troy Palumalu? Bob Sanders? Those guys tackle like bullets. For that matter, how much does a bullet weigh?

Since you know physics, you should know

Momentum = Mass * Velocity
Kinetic Energy = 1/2 Mass * Velocity squared

So it's not just mass (weight), its how fast are you moving when you make contact.

Both of those guys pack more weight into smaller frames. More importanly, the receiver caught the ball on the run so had considerable velocity in addition to mass. Do the physics and tell me how much faster Merriweather would have to run to produce the same momentum. Consider also that Merriweather would have to reach that velocity in only a couple of steps. The TE would have run over any safety on that play. The answer, as the coach and everyone else knows, is the blown coverage.

Of course he can. An experienced natural lifter can expect to gain 2 - 5 lbs of LEAN MASS per year. Meri Will get more muscular....it takes time. If he is on some stuff, he can expect 10 - 15 lbs lean mass per cycle.

Is this "stuff" legal or is it also sometimes known as HGH?
Gaining weight is easy. Gaining weight and maintaining speed/flexibility is not.

lol, bob sanders throws his body with reckless abandon on the football field...

i had rather not have meriweather do that,....sanders tackling includes going to the bal carrier in full speed, and then torpedo yourself towards the knees as strong/fast as possible and take the legs from under a guy

its effective, but despicable

And a lot of people called Rodney Harrison "despicable." But he was without a doubt extremely effective in his prime. I would take Bob Sanders on this team anytime. But the Colts are unlikely to relinquish him anytime soon. So the most likely route to finding a good strong safety who can 'stick' hits is through the draft.
