Brandon Meriweather should be starting

I realize he doesn't have that many tackles, but it's not like he's a middle linebacker or something - He shouldn't have that many tackles - we play him as the deep safety most of the time (I've seen him blitz the quarterback a couple times, but its really rare) As such, if he was racking up lots of tackles it would mean that the rest of our D couldn't stop anyone.

Well our safety rodney leads the team in tackles, thats the only point for my argument.

I'm saying production vale can be based on tackles andnot just the 2 int's he's got this year. also, sanders needs to go...not sure why BB is always riding high on him.

I realize Rodney has a ton of tackles, but you have to look at the way that they're being used, because its completely different - Meriweather pretty much always plays very deep - he's the last line of defense. Rodney, on the other hand, plays up near the line of scrimmage much more often (really, he's pretty much a linebacker this year) so of course he'll get more tackles.

You're right. That fool Belichick. Why, he bases his evaluation of a player by filming and watching each and every play over and over, with the coaches all assessing responsibilities and rating execution. Does the same with each day's practise. How can he possibly evaluate Sanders as well as a fan posting on the internet?

[tongue in cheek mode] But we know he doesn't do that! He spends his time canoodling with some surgically enhanced blondage. He has Felger mail in game grades, which BB then uses to develop his player rotation for the next game. The man is past it and should be retired to tend to his Nantucket properties. Meriweather is 8th in solos and 9th in total tackles pretty good going second season player I am pleased with his performance so far. Good going for a kid who was a bust at the end of last season
