We Will Lose Today

- it's a road game.
- 9ers are better this year.
- willis will shut down our pathetic running game single handedly, leaving the rest of their D to focus on stopping Cassell -- which they will.
- pats are demoralized after embarressing loss to miami. having a week off only made matters worse as they got to sit around and stew.

question is, will this loss put us in a season long tail spin from which we'll never recover?

I think that this is a pickem game. For the Pats to win, they have to
do the following:

l. The offensive line has to block better for both the run and pass.
If Cassel is on his butt most of the game, the Pats will lose.

2. If the defense does not pressure J.T. O'Sullivan and instead simply
drops back in coverage, the Pats will lose.

All the past statistics that forum members are mentioning that point
towards a Pats win are meaningless. Matt Cassel is now quarterback,
not Tom Brady.

The next 6 games for the Pats are San Diego, Denver, Rams, Colts,
Bills, and Jets. The only sure win is the Rams. The other teams are
better than the Patriots at the quarterback position.

I don't think the 49ers will be easy. But you are forgetting that the Patriots have Cassel, who is improving week by week. Shoulder to the wheel and the patriots will follow in his leadership.

So I think things are looking up.

Anything is possible, but Cassel probably throws 3-4 TDs and the Patriots win handily.

And we all know how that's the determining factor since we've been undefeated since week 3 in 2001...oh, wait...

Good. You have demonstrated the basic reading skills that place you above the IQ level of an average chimpanzee.

9ers are better this year.
Better than the Patriots or better than last year's version of the 49'ers? Proper use of the English language requires precision. You may be on par with the chimpanzee.

willis will shut down our pathetic running game single handedly, leaving the rest of their D to focus on stopping Cassell -- which they will.

I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you meant the linebacker and not Willis from Diff'rent Strokes. From the football acumen demonstrated in previous posts, I am still not sure that is the case.

Also, "our" implies ownership, which is strange given the fact you seem to call yourself a fan while fans from other teams on this board sound more like a fan of the Patriots than you are. I would suggest finding a team you project to have a better record and getting on board with that fan board immediately so you do not appear to be as much of a bandwagon fan as you would otherwise appear to be later in the season. Be the ball.

Consistent with the Patriots history over the last 6 years. Oh wait, it is not actually the case that this team drops consecutive games after a bad loss. But you have been a fan since 2007 (I know it says "member since" not "fan since" but we know the score) so you may not have checked out the history. And it is "embarressing" to use words we cannot spell. Next time use "ugly" - fewer letters.

question is, will this loss put us in a season long tail spin from which we'll never recover?

Games are never as fun without stakes, so as you are so certain of the outcome, would you be willing to put your money where your mouth is with a guarantee? If the Patriots win, you will forever leave this site and either (1) plague some local college team or (2) become a soccer fan.

The fans of this board would support you 100% in demonstrating that level of conviction. As the Patriots will win today, it will virtually guarantee that morbid curiosity will not drive us to open another post from you on the remote possibility that something meaningful is contained inside.

What an optimismy well it makes sense. you have TOMase....following in his footsteps???.. LOVE that spirit...

I believe that Tom Brady is the best clutch quarterback in the NFL.

He was a prime reason that the Pats have had 7 winning seasons in a

row and have won 3 Superbowls. Without him, the Patriots will

have a difficult time making the playoffs.

Please own up to the fact that there is no such thing as a football fan living in Newton, Mass. Your posts have proven this. Time to come clean.

I have to agree about Newton. Lincoln-Sudbury used to cream the little weenies from Newton on THanksgiving when I used to live in Smerlasville (Sudbury).

To the OP: You sir, just got owned.

I just hope that Jane Goodall isn't a Pats fan, cause if she reads this she's gonna be wicked pissed at the insult to chimps.

I say the Pats win by double digits. I think the Pats will be fired up and well prepared. They will be far more agressive on both sides of the ball. I see the Pats winning by at least 10 points.

You have demonstrated the basic reading skills that place you above the IQ level of an average chimpanzee.

I strongly protest this grade. How dare you insult the monkeys?

Diffficult, no doubt, but the goal is to get to the dance and I am betting they sure will, then, anything can happen

let me guess, if the pats win easily you will be on here tommarow talking about how they can win the super bowl. people need to get a grip and stop acting like every game is life and death

Will the Patriots lose today... no. As long as the team plays hard, has adjusted from the last game's mistakes, scores more points, etc... then yes we can win this.

newton tom cat is a weenie.

I'm CrazyDave, and I approve this message.
Vote early, and vote often.
