Great list. Agree with pretty much every bullet. Favorite loss for me was the Stupor Bowl. That was really a win.

Thanks. I thought it would be a fun, positive exercise that others could join in on.

And what is this Stupor Bowl that you mention? As far as I know the 2007 season ended with the AFCCG for some reason.

Current Patriot: Vince Wilfork (recently replaced Rodney Harrison) Ooh ... difficult! Just at the moment it's Ellis Hobbs (closely followed by Randy Moss, Vince Wilfork, Ty Warren and Laurence Maroney )

Patriot of all time: Troy Brown Tedy Bruschi

Game performance by a Patriot: Ty Law in the 2003 AFCCG Tedy in the Indy play-off game

Season from a first-year Patriot: Dillon in 2004 Randy Moss last year

Catch: Troy's in the closing moments of SB 36. Randy's one-handed catch over the middle against Indianapolis last year

Game I ever attended: 2004 Divisional game against the Colts vs. Jets, 2006 (deluge, loss ... perfect!)

Comeback: that game in Chicago in 2002 ditto

Coaching staff: 2004 ditto

Loss: against Miami, last game of 1992 season. I froze my nuts off and got into a fight. MNF against Miami (Brady's "pass off your *ss" interception)

Player that got by on guts: Grogan Grogan, of course, but could also be Troy Brown

Uniform: old red Pat Patriot uni's. The new ones

Most fun terrible season: 1993 1981 (my first season as a Pats fan)

African American Jewish black belt linebacker: Tippett Well, there's Yaphet Kotto, but I don't think he played for the Pats

Add: favourite game: 2004 season: Indianapolis 3, New England 20 (closely followed by 2003 season: Dallas 0, New England 12)

How could I forget Favorite Game???

I think mine would be the 1986 season finale when Grogan came off the bench to beat the Fins in the Orange Bowl to clinch the AFC East.

I'm going to edit my first post to include that.

PS - great choices, thanks for posting them!

The stupor bowl was the final game of the regular season 1981, between the Pats and Colts, then in the same division. They were the worst 2 teams in football and the loser got the #1 pick in the draft, later wasted on Kenny Sims. The Pats were 2-13 and the Colts were 1-14. The Colts won, giving the Pats the #1 pick. It was generally regarded as the worst football game ever played.

Lot of thought required here.

Favorite current Patriot....Wes Welker (reminds me of Troy Brown)

Favorite ever Patriot....Troy Brown.

Favorite ever coach..... Belichick (I hate that I know nothing about my team 1 hour before gametime).

Favorite Performance by a Patriot......Law in the 2003 AFCCG.

Season from a first year Patriot.....(tie) Dillon and Welker and Moss.

Catch.....Moss over the middle one hand grab vs. the Colts in 07. No Patriot reciever makes that catch. Ever.

Uni....Bought a red number 12 and number 80 today. Love the red.

:singing: Ah so, I did not realize that! That's a great one.

Excellent choices, especially the catch. A perfect example of how a great WR can make an all-time great QB even better.

Those uni's must look sweet.

(It's hard not to love Welker, too.)

Here's Mine:

Current Patriot: Bruschi, but since I will use him in the next one too I will say Brady.

Patriot of all time: Bruschi with Tippett a close second

Game performance by a Patriot: David Patten receiving, passing, and rushing for a TD in a single game

Season from a first-year Patriot: I have to go with Moss

Catch: I don't think I have a favorite so I will go with an unconscious David Patten vs. the Bills (granted it was a fumbled catch recovered by an unconscious Patten, but since he recovered his own fumble and deserves bonus for a heads up recovery while blacked out I will go with it)

Super Bowl: 36.

Regular season game: The game post blizzard against Miami in 2004. I don't know if it would be my favorite if I wasn't there, but it was a fun game for the 40 or so thousand people who were there.

Game I attended: Snow Bowl

Comeback: It wasn't a huge deficit that they came back from, but the Snow Bowl again. The Raiders dominated for three quarters and the Pats smacked their way back in the fourth.

Coaching staff: Hands down 1990.... Ok, 2004

Loss: The Bears' Super Bowl. Or the preseason loss where the Patriots lost Tippett, Ronnie Lippett, and Garvin Veras.

Player that got by on guts: I'll agree with Grogan

Uniform: I agree with old red Pat Patriot uni's.

Most fun terrible season: No terrible season is fun

African American Jewish black belt linebacker: I hear Sammy Davis played the position in high school and had a mean Crane kick (ask Mr. Miagi about that one), but I still have to go with Tip

Great list. Loss: November 10, 1980 at Houston on Monday night. My last bar fight.
Game I attended: September of 1960. The Pats' first game ever. It was at BU against the Broncos. I was 12 and I had little idea what my father was taking me to. Ironically, I didn't go to another game until the fall of 1970 when the Pats played the Jets at Harvard Stadium. Because of Joe Namath, I was enamored with the Jets, principally because they had beaten the Colts a year earlier and allowed us AFL fans to shed our inferiority complex forever. At that time, I would have never imagined I could hate the Jets as much as I do now.

I forgot my favorite game.

Bears - Patriots Superbowl, Jan 26, 1986.

The night I became a "real" Patriots fan

Losses and fights must naturally go together.

That's very cool that you went to the Pats first game ever.

Current Patriot: Randy Moss (Adalius close second)

Patriot of all time: Troy Brown

Game performance by a Patriot: Ty Law in the 2003 AFCCG

Season from a first-year Patriot: Moss in 2007

Catch: Lame but.. Jabar Gaffney last year against baltimore the touchdown on the final drive to keep the perfect season alive.

Super Bowl: 2001

Regular season game: Again last year against the ravens i cant remember ever being more nervous in a game pacing back and forth in my living room ill never forget it

Game I attended: game 16 2007 in New york 16-0

Comeback: the win against the jets in 2001 when they feel behind 13 and ended up winning 17-16 i believe

Coaching staff: 2001 was a special staff to win the bowl

Loss: last year against the giants in the SB

Player that got by on guts: brown

Uniform: love the current away one

Most fun terrible season: 1995

African American Jewish black belt linebacker: lol what???

Current Patriot: Gostkowski... due to my polish heritage (between him & Jankowski we now export 6% of the world's field goals)

Patriot of all time: Have to go with Tom Brady

Game performance by a Patriot:Troy Brown in 01-02 AFCCG @ Pitt

Season from a first-year Patriot: Moss in 07

Catch: Patten in the corner in 01-02 AFCGC

Super Bowl: 36

Regular season game: 1994 vs. Minnesota. I believe 45 and 70 are both still the single game records today for completions and attempts

Game I attended: 56-10 @ Buffalo in 2007

Comeback: Again, 1994 vs. Minnesota

Coaching staff: 2004

Loss: If I had to pick a favorite loss, I guess it would have to be vs. Miami in 2005 when Flutie drop kicked.

Player that got by on guts: Troy Brown

Uniform: old red Pat Patriot uni's.

Most fun terrible season: Agreed with 1993. Winning those last 4 games gave me hope for 94.

That's not lame.

Glad im not the only one who loved that one

by the way i stole your thread idea and posted it in the sox forum hope u dont mind it was just a great idea

Current Patriot: Logan Mankins

Patriot of all time: Vincent Brown

Game performance by a Patriot: Corey Dillon 2004 Div playoff vs. Indy

Season from a first-year Patriot: Moss in '07

Catch: Troy Brown on his back, 1996 vs. NYG in Meadowlands

Super Bowl: 38

Regular season game: 1991 against Houston...no one, not even the TV commentators thought they had any chance to keep it close. Millen to McMurtury for 34 yard TD with 4 seconds left in a nearly empty foxboro stadium.

Game I attended: 2005 opener against Oakland....banner unveiling, concert, fireworks, and a 10 point win!!

Comeback: 1994 at home against Minnesota...Bledsoe has 70 attempts for the game, hits Kevin Turner down left sideline for a TD in OT.

Coaching staff: 2004

Loss: 29-28 against Miami in '05

Player that got by on guts: Bruschi

Uniform: current ones, Blue jerseys

Most fun terrible season: 1991 MacPherson provided a spark to a team that was comparitively less talented. A few of the games they won, they should have been blown out in.

African American Jewish black belt linebacker: Tippett

Current Patriot: Gostkowski... due to my polish heritage (between him & Jankowski we now export 6% of the world's field goals)

Patriot of all time: Have to go with Tom Brady

After deliberating for a while I had to go back and adjust favorite catch.
