I agree with this sentiment. I'm not trying to imply Belichick isn't a great coach. However the sustained success of the Patriots more closely correlates with the emergence of Brady than the arrival of Belichick.
Is it coincidence that a Belichick team led by Bledsoe (who was no slouch) went 5-13 during that tenure and then when Brady took over immediately went on to go 15-3 and win a title in the process? Do we remember that Belichick was the owner of 1 winning season as a head coach prior to Brady and since then has yet to have a losing season?
