He's a lock.
Huh? So you honestly expect them to carry 5 RBs?
Can someone confirm that Taylor has PS eligibility but BJGE does not? If so, Taylor to the PS could be the injury insurance. It depends on how much they value BJGE skills compared with guys like Taylor. I like BJGE, but it is difficult to see how they could keep a guy who would not play unless several guys got hurt over somone who will play all the ST downs (Aiken, Slater, Ventrone, etc.)
Yes because they will definitely not have 5 RB's by the end of the year. Someone will definitely go to PUP or IR at some point.
I've been saying you have to balance age/wisdom with youth/energy. That RB without BJGE has three players over 30 who are injury-prone, leaving only Fred Astaire as the young RB, and even then, he's had his share of injuries.
BJGE is no longer eligible for PS.
Which Taylor are you talking about? There is no way we sneak Fred Taylor to the PS.

Interesting. Of those who've offered an opinion in this thread, I make it 9 don't see the Patriots keeping him, 8 say they will. On the other hand, 41 voters are predicting he will make it against 16 who say he won't.
What does that tell us? (Probably nothing...)
Absolutely. Almost no question, IMO. 5 RBs. With David Thomas filling the Hochstein/Heath Evans role, along with some versatility on the OL, I think they will be able to do it. And given the injury history of Maroney, Morris AND Taylor, keeping a guy like BJGE is a good idea. Add to that that it's arguable he can fill the Faulk-in-training spot, the guy's a solid value.
I voted, but it isn't a simple question. I think they will keep 5 RBs. Others think Maroney will be cut opoeing a spot for BJGE. Very big difference if you want to draw any conclusions from this poll.A simple yes-no question in all of the roster cutdown scenarios.
The season hasn't begun and already Maroney and Morris
are missing practices. It's only a matter of time until one
or the other is out for a significant length of time. Better
a backup like Green-Eliis to fill in than a newbie.
Bam Childress redux.
Can you name a single veteran on the team that hasn't missed any practices, with the possible exception of Brady?
