From a Packer fan that used to live in New England...

Pats played good enough to win, just too many mistakes. The intentional grounding call on the first offensive play was a shocker for such a veteran QB. And the penalty on the play that Cruz got the ball stripped down inside the Patriots Red Zone...ouch, ouch ouch. 9 points off the bat.

I'm not going to take anything away from the Giants but jesus, they got some real gift horses on their way to their SB victory courtesy of the Packers, the 9ers and the Pats. Dropitis and fumblitis. The Giants were not a dominant team, but they had enough balance, a hot QB, great receivers, and enough breaks go their way.

I didn't come away from this SB thinking Giants dynasty or the Patriots fading into the sunset. I'd be very surprised to see the Giants in the SB again next year, not with NO, GB, and SF around, not to mention the Eagles. And the AFC? Looks like NE and Houston to me, and dunno, the Bengals could be on the up and up.

See you guys in the SB next year. Rodgers and Brady. :bye2:

Thanks for the kind words.

A lot of things can happen in an offseason, but I expect the pats and Pack are well positioned to make another run next season if they stay healthy.

I want to go on record as saying I thought that for all of the season, our defense was garbage, but from playoff game one to the SB, our defense improved greatly. Hats off to BB!

Eli Manning = Rafael Nadal

Tom Brady = Roger Federer

Great post
Thx
