They are jettisoning all the players and he is following Manning, who is so beloved that many Indy fans are still frothing at the mouth over his departure.
Luck better hope the combination of his last name and the whole horseshoe thing is enough, because damn.
I predict Daniel Snyder secretly wires $25M into Mr. Luck's bank account through several offshore sources to convince him to pull an Elway.
Man, it would be so funny if Luck took a look at the Colts and decided they don't know what they are doing and dug his heels in.
Imagine if he said he wouldn't play for the Colts! That would be gold, Jerry.
Its really debatable if Luck is better than RG.What's weird is that over at extremeskins some posters mentioned that possibililty as if it were a bad thing. Hello? Isn't Luck considered better than RG3 or am I hopelessly behind on the ins and outs of the draft?

Luck is more of a pocket passer like Manning and Brady and RG is like Vick. but with a better arm and accuracy.
RG has turned some heads and could very well turn out to be the best QB in this draft.

Ok, that is good to know. And interesting too. I wonder if the Colts have considered RG3 instead of Luck?
If by "pocket passer" you mean he can match Cam Newton's 40-time (4.59s) and has made several dramatic plays running and catching the football during his college career, then I agree.
2012 NFL Scouting Combine: Andrew Luck matches Cam Newton's 40 time - NFL - Sporting News
RG is more the mobile QB and its not even up for debate. RG has more than twice the rushing yards of Luck and 33 rushing TDs compared to Lucks 7 rushing TDs. RG completed 74% of his passes this past season too - 37 TDs and 6 INTs. At one point of the 2011 season, RG had more INTs than incompletion's.
It remains to be seen if RG can bring his style play to the NFL and be as effective, but many speculate that RG will be what Vick was supposed to be. Mayock for one and I respect his opinion like it was gospel.

I think that's the understatement of the year. The guy is walking into an absolutely impossible situation. The situation he is walking into is not exactly ideal. They are jettisoning all the players and he is following Manning, who is so beloved that many Indy fans are still frothing at the mouth over his departure.

RG3 had the better season (and deserved the Heisman) but Luck is still seen by most as the better pro prospect. However, that belief is not quite as solid now as it was 6 months ago. What's weird is that over at extremeskins some posters mentioned that possibililty as if it were a bad thing. Hello? i think that would be horrible
i thought the same about elway and eli when they did it
no player is bigger than the game, and those guys thought they were
of course they did both get multiple superbowl rings, even though it took elway over 15 years, so there's that for luck to think about, i guess
