They made the right call by calling nothing. They've been letting the DBs and WRs be physical all night. At least they kept it consistent.
Culliver's PI on Smith on an earlier drive was WAY too obvious to let it go so they called that one.
Then why have the refs there in the first place? I'm all for letting them play, but with the bogus "emphasis" and "player safety," and silly fines being handed out like it isn't real money...
...this was a joke. There's physical and bull****. I want federal investigations of all bank accounts of all officials involved tonight. A full review of the nfl front office is in order. Throw the nba in as well. These two leagues have certainly established themselves as leagues which are ok with referees influencing games, rules be damned.

Not sure if this is serious...or a new form of sarcasm...
Amazing all year the call everything on helmet to helmet hit, but on the final drive of the season they let it go.
No way in hell do I want a refs to give the 49ers a victory, remember, they get a whole set of downs and they can milk the clock, on a questionable call. I saw contact on both players and it wasn't much, and those no calls happen all the time.
The throw was crap, he barely got it off. If the 49ers wanted to score they should have jammed the ball inside. You don't win by needing the refs. You win in spite of the refs.
This is why the Pats are crap lately. They do gimmick plays, they whine about one or two plays (wellker drops) and they fail to see the bigger picture. The game is, ultimately, won by the team most hungry to win. Tonight, and against the pats, the ravens were more hungry. The pats have no hunger, only gimmick strategy.
That's the problem. The Ravens' DBs two weeks ago as well as Culliver tonight got away with tons of contact. What's the rationale for different rules? The refs affect enough games to change playoff seedings in the regular season, so why do we want them to sit there and watch in the playoffs?

I think it has to be called but I've always said if a referee is going to suck, they should at least suck consistently for both teams.
There was a play n a deep ball to Smth where there was blatant contact past five yards and it wasn't called. So you can say it's only fair that that play got the same treatment. Personally, Super Bowl or no Super Bowl, both the calls should have been made.
Culliver's PI is incomparable. That was so obvious that had to get called.
Disappointed it wasn't called bt they were consistent with their calls all game. Also, on review, it looks like Ed Reed timed his blitz to perfection on that two pointer.
You can try and blame the refs all you like. The play calling lost them the game. Three passes? Three? Don't run the clock down? Poor coaching decisions and a team which at times looked far from mental prepared for this game.
Saying that, the best QB on the field didnt get his ring. Kaepernick made far better throws. When a team out gains someone by 100+ yards, has a QB throw for over 300, has one 100 yard usher and two 100 yard receivers, you don't expect them to lose a game. They threw it away. Ravens got an element of luck.
Crabtree made there would be no call by pushing off on the defenders helmet. Torrey smith was not pushing off, so the refs threw the flag.
That's the way mutual contact works and people need to stop questioning the refs based on who they would like to see win. Nobody complained when the miners benefitted by a similar non call at the same critical moment when they were playing the falcons.
My economic interest was solidly on the Ravens side and my wallet is a good deal fatter today.
And I agree that the Niners benefited tremendously from another bad call in the Falcons game. Still, that was a hold, and if you can't see it in the name objectivity, I don't know what to say.
That the receiver initiated contact doesn't give the defender a free pass to hold. Where does it say that in the rule book? Hey, if it does and I'm just missing it, I will admit it. But I don't think it does.
