Hopefully his hand injury is not too serious.Sad my binky Roberts got hurt. I was so happy when I found out he was starting. They're going to need him to have a good defense this year.
When was Roberts burned? On the Jordy Nelson out? Keep in mind it's a rookie's 1st game on an island vs an All-Pro WR and and ALL-Pro QB.DISCLAIMER: I didn't watch the entire game because of a commitment last night and I don't put a lot of stock in preseason games to judge the regular season.
I did like that it looks like they are going to be more aggressive with the pass rush than previous years. If they are, I can't wait until Hightower is ready to play.
I also think Bulter may be as good as advertised. He won't replace Revis, but he may be a solid #1.
I am worried about the #2 CB though. Roberts got burnt too much. Ryan was up and down replacing Butler.

Now the Ryan play when he didn't jam the WR at the line and let him run by....that was burned.
Butler and Sheard impressed. Flowers sack was great, but then when I focused on him afterwards he seemed gassed.
i'll mention him. Sheard looks like hes going to be off the hook as a pass rusher could see him getting double digit sack numbers. he was good against the run too.Surprised only one mention of Sheard. Pats front 7 was consistently getting pressure. GB's OLine got away with tons of holds.

Flowers looked good, quick and strong at the point of attack. Griassom also looked explosive against the pass.
Now, i was watching to see how Easley played, i didn't see the same thing others saw, i didn't see easley breaking through the line or being that disruptive. It was even mentioned during the broadcast by either m chatham or fauria that easley needs to learn to play a little differently to utilize his quickness because hes undersized as an inetrior lineman. Overall the D played very well, and it looks like sheard and flowers are going to be able to really bolster the pass rush.

Refs in midseason form against the Pats and it will only get worse.Yea I couldn't believe what i was seeing them get away with a lot of times... there were some really blatant holds that prevented sacks that were not called
LB depth is something to watch here...the Pats might have to make a move to get a decent run-stopping fourth (I hear there's this guy named Spikes out there). The Packers' offense was owning the area about 5 yards past the LOS - of course, their tight ends were literally shoving LBs away on their break.
Not too concern about that play. At least he didn't let the guy go all the way for a touchdown with less than 40 seconds before the half.Maybe burned was strong, but he didn't do well in coverage. Rodgers picked on him a bit. The guy is a low round rookie, he is going to have growing pains.
So who are you taking out to put in the run stopping LB? Collins? No. Hightower? No. Mayo? No.
The defense looked really good against a top offense
LOOKING GOOD: Johnson, Freeney, Butler, Roberts, Fletcher, McClain
1) There was pass pressure. Flowers will be good.
2) The run defense had a few problems. Branch wasn't there. I think Siliga was also out.
3) The LB's were fine. Freeney looked great. Morris, not so much.
4) The DB's were pretty good (except for Ryan). Even McClain, Wilson and Roberts looked OK.
Freeney definatley being overrated. Pash rush looked good on the edge. Interior looked pretty soft. Coverage was overall pretty sold especially considering it was GB.
The one thing that stood out was our speed. We looked like a fast/mobile defense. The run defense will be an issue but hopefully the return of Mayo will make a big difference.
