Vince Young is better than Vick. Vick is a one trick pony that fell off at the end of last season. Vince just needs someone to believe in him.

If VY was better than Vick, he'd be starting.

You can't believe yourself when you say this. I don't care what people say, Vick is a top 10 QB in this league. Vince Young would be happy to make top 20.

I'm with you on VY. Another emotional wreck who has skills out of the pocket, but he'll never amount to anything. He's not even top 35.

Vick is harder to handicap. He can play within a system, and make wonderful plays when things break down. But can he stay focused and healthy for long? How much time does he have left? For one year only, I could rate him top 10. He's certainly amazing to watch when he's at top form in all of his dimensions.

13-3 sounds reasonable. The homer in me is thinking 19-0 :)

I'm going 12-4 this year.

Yes, I think the Patriots are a better team this year than last. But I'm letting the pre-season loss to Detroit temper my expectations (foolish, I know). I think the Patriots do have some significant weaknesses - and that other teams can do a lot of things right as well.

The Patriots defense needs to improve a lot from last year in a few areas (e.g. 3rd downs) and I expect they will - but it's not a lock.

Put me down for losses against the Giants, @Jets, @Redskins and 1 other loss I'm not smart (or foolish enough) to predict.

I believe the last time I did one of these threads was 2007. You can see that prediction in my signature. I was so scarred by that experience that it has taken this long for me to participate in one of these threads again. So here we go...

19-0.

Take it to the effin bank!

I'm also predicting a quadruple bypass for myself in February.

11-5, lose in AFCCG.

Hopefully I am wrong.

(0-1) @ Dolphins (7 p.m.) L (This is tough as i think both D's are a surprise)
(0-2) vs Chargers (4:15 p.m.) L (Defense still working out kinks. Media wonders about pats...circa 2011 Red Sox)
(1-2) @ Bills (1 p.m.) W
(2-2) @ Raiders (4:15 p.m.) W
(2-3) vs Jets (4:15 p.m.) L (true fans believe, bandwagoners scream panic)

Last year's thread is where? Would be GREAT if OP put link in post to remind us how much we suck...:)

Record:14-2 :singing:

I don't do week by week picks. I say 12-4. Don't know which games will be losses though.

@ Dolphins W

Cowboys L
@Steelers L
Giants W
@Jets L
Chiefs W

@ Redskins W
@ Broncos W

11-5 wins the AFC East

After that, who knows?

I'll go with my usual 12-4, but don't ask me which ones. They always win one easily that I think is a possible loss, and they always lose one that I think there is no way they can lose.

No one's willing to go 10-6 or less?

13-3 is keeping my hopes up

I did not expect 14- 2 last year

12-4 2011 New England Patriot's

fyi my GUT said 13-3 and I am going against it.

my gut is normally right

12-4

12-4
