    Final Record: 13-3
    AFC East Division Winners

    AFC East: New England
    AFC North: Baltimore
    AFC South: Houston
    AFC West: San Diego

    AFC Wildcards: NY Jets, Kansas City

    NFC East: Philadelphia
    NFC North: Green Bay
    NFC South: Atlanta
    NFC West: St. Louis

    NFC Wildcards: New Orleans, Detroit

    AFC Champions: New England (**** it, why not?)
    NFC Champions: Atlanta

    Super Bowl Champions: New England (YAY homer!)

    Comments:

    New England's schedule this year is good and bad. The Pats get the Chargers early, and the Jets at home first, which are the good things. The bad is that there is a trip to Miami in week 1 and I was very tempted to put that in the loss column. New England and Miami traditionally split the series anyway, but I just can't see the Pats laying a stinker out of the gate, so going to Miami in Week 1 as opposed to Week 3 is probably a better deal for the Pats.

    There will probably be one of those head-scratchers like the Cleveland game from last year, and I've got my eye on that Broncos game. I was tempted to pick Oakland, what with the long trip, Seymour being hungry, and a really good running game in Oakland, but their secondary sucks again and I think Brady will have a good olde thyme.

    Pittsburgh is notorious for succumbing to the Super Bowl hangover, win or lose, so I've got them out of the playoffs and put Kansas City in over what I think will be a resurgent Browns team.

    I'm going on the assumption that Peyton is going to be either out or a shadow of himself this season, on a team that is already a little suspect. Indianapolis misses the playoffs for the first time in a while, and I'm finally on the Houston playoff bandwagon.

    Pretty straightforward in the NFC, except Atlanta over New Orleans. I think that division could go either way, but the Falcons look like a team on the rise, so I'll give it to them, leaving a really strong Saints team in the Wild Card.

    The Jets will beat the Chargers, and they and Pats will meet again in the Divisional Round in Foxboro, but I expect a different result this time. Baltimore should make easy work of the Texans, who will beat the Chiefs. Baltimore comes to New England and the Pats get to exorcise another demon en route to the Super Bowl.

    Matt Ryan vs. his idol in the Super Bowl, but, spurred on by Myra, the Pats pull it out and ride off into the sunset.

    Homerific? I guess, but I had them at (what I thought was a very rationally thought out) 11-5 last year and most people gave me a ****eyed look, so there you go.

    This season is hard to predict as there are a lot of new faces (85, Hanyesworth, Ellis, safeties, Waters) starting on both sides of the ball. It will all come down to how they step up.

    NE @ MIA - L (Pats never play well in Miami and with some significant turnover they will need a game to build that chemistry)
    SD @ NE - W (they get their ish together at home against a good team)
    NE @ BUF - W
    NE @ OAK - W
    NYJ @ NE - W (These two teams always seem to split the season winning at home)
    DAL @ NE - W (tough to beat at home)
    NE @ PIT - L (Pitt still remembers last years loss on national television)
    NYG @ NE - W (tough to beat at home)
    NE @ NYJ - L (Jets get their one win against the Pats for the season)
    KC @ NE - W (KC will be having QB issues at this point)
    NE @ PHI - L ( I'd rather play Philadelphia early in the year. At this point they will be clicking on all cylinders)
    IND @ NE - W (Indy just isn't the same team they once were)
    NE @ WAS - W (Washington will be in the Andrew Luck sweepstakes at this point)
    NE @ DEN - W (Pats don't play well in Denver, but with McDaniels gone BB has the advantage)
    MIA @ NE - W (Miami never wins @ NE in December)
    BUF @ NE - W

    12-4. I also predict PATSNUTme to hit a hole-in-one next time he plays mini golf :)

    12-4 if everything goes according to plan.

    This Patriot team still has a lot of youth.

    Give me a home loss to Dallas, road losses to WAS and PIT.

    WAS can be replaced with NYG or PHI, I choose WAS because they have an underrated team and are the perfect upset the Pats always lose.

    I've been watching the Patriots since the 1970s.

    I have absolutely no rationale for saying this but I feel strongly about it, I feel it in my bones. This particular Patriots team has a tendency to get c+ocky, just like its starting QB. They go into games sometimes feeling like they are going to roll the other team, and then they get punched in the face and don't respond so well.

    They took the Cleveland Browns lightly last year.

    And here's what I'll believe until my dying day: after slaughtering the Jets 45-3, they went into the playoff game way, way, way overconfident. And that was a significant factor in the loss.

    Gone are the Rodney Harrisons, Mike Vrabels and Tedy Bruschis who channeled bulletin board material into a feeling of being insulted, which translated into the Patriots taking on the perpetual underdog role.

    This team--as young teams will--tends to get a little full of itself.

    @Dolphins: L 0-1. Dolphins will treat this as their Super Bowl. We tend to lose in Miami most seasons too, don't forget.

    Chargers: W 1-1.

    @Bills: L 1-2. Yep, it's the year I think...

    @Raiders: W 2-2.
    Jets: W 3-2.

    Cowboys: L 3-3. Ryan brothers prevail again...

    @Steelers: W 4-3.

    Giants: W 5-3. I'm predicting right now that this game will be the closest of the season for the Pats.

    @Jets: L 5-4.
    Chiefs: W 6-4.

    @Eagles: W 7-4. I think we'll figure them out.

    Colts: W 8-4.

    @Redskins: L 8-5. Isn't BB historically weak to Shanahan?

    @Broncos: W 9-5.
    Dolphins: W 10-5.
    Bills: W 11-5.

    Who knows about the playoffs? I thought we would win the SB last year...:bricks::bricks::bricks:

    11-5, a win on wildcard weekend (as div winner or wc team) and a loss on divisional playoff weekend...too many questions on the offensive line, receiver, and running back for this team to go far into the playoffs. also, Brady needs to show fans he can make plays to win games again come playoff time - something he hasn't done in quite some time...

    First of all there is NO WAY Tony Romo & the Cowboys will go on the road and beat the Pats.

    I think this team played a little over its head last year and comes back down to earth. My prediction is 11-5, tied for 1st with the NY Jets. Also think that this year the Bills finally beat us.

    I guess I have them at 15 and 1, pretty homerish I guess. I guess, I can see them losing to Denvers, since that is their MO. Also, maybe the Chargers, but all the games are winnable.
