I stand corrected. I forgot about Ninko's sack of Rivers for Minus Zero yards at the Pats' 3,
followed by a TD pass One play later.
And the coverage of the Safeties still sux. 2 passes defended by them in 2 games.
Sergio's INT was by far the best play they made all game long.
Every other time, they were a day late & a dollar short.
And Rivers wasn't hit nearly as often as Henne was on Monday.
Rivers: 2 sacks + 4 QBHs on 40 attempts = 15%;
Henne: 4 sacks + 11 QBHs on 49 attempts = 29%.
I'm not saying that this defense is without hope.
I'm saying that on Sunday, this defense played eerily similar to how they played too often last year.
And last year wasn't good enough.
