Should Tavon Wilson start?

Tavon was 2nd on the team with 10 tackles - 5 of them solo today.
 
Played well today. Did screw up 1 play (that TD) but that was mostly on Kyle Arrington.
 
He also screwed up inside coverage on the long pass to Thomas that Moore knocked out. Denard to CB and Moore to Safety. McCourty's leash is getting short.
 
What stood out to me about Tavon Wilson today was his solid tackling.
 
Start him, move McCourty to safety, bench Chung, Start Dennard and we might see better secondary play.
 
Tavon will start as soon as BB thinks he gives the team the best chance to win. I hope it's next week.

I like McCourty at CB. But Arrington looks more like a nickel back in the NFL. He's the weakest link out there, other than Spikes covering pass plays, which is an acceptable limitation considering how he can bring the wood.

But I was wrong about Wilson. He made some rookie mistakes, but his sure tackling, size speed and athleticism is intriguing. Now I know why the Pats were so high on him.

I think his ceiling is much higher than Gregory's. Maybe even Chung's who, truth be told, has been a bit of a disappointment. I had high hopes for him coming out of Oregon.

Was Dowling playing some FS today?
 
The #3 and #4 corners should be able to play nickel and dime. Dowling was playing dime in his 13 reps. Moore and Dennard shared the nickel spot (actually Dennard replaced Moore)
