Per NFLPA records, the Patriots have re-signed C Ryan Wendell to a two-year deal worth a maximum of $6.85 million.
That's probably if he starts every game for the next 2 years.
Salary, SB and guaranteed money vs. incentives.
On the BIGHT SIDE, maybe Wendell-ski was injured last year. Maybe that's what slowed him down / made him useless.
BTW, when we see the actual numbers, I am sure his deal is much smaller than what is being reported.
Ugh.
What in the HELL do the Pats see in Wendell? He is garbage! Now you're re-signing him for starter money?

Check that: Wendell's deal maxes out at $8.15M. He has a roster bonus of $2M each year, with $1.3M to earn in P/T incentives in 2015.
The NEW Kyle Arrington.

Basically, Wendell is getting an $850k signing bonus, a $2 million roster bonus, $1 million base salary with $12.5k game bonus each game. So that means either he impresses during the preseason and wins the starting job cleanly or he will be cut and the Pats will be out $850k.
Looks like Wendell's contract is insurance if someone else doesn't step up and win the starting center job.
Roster bonus means to me that this is essentially a one year deal. Could see them taking a C that can also play G like Stork or Larsen in the 4th (or 5th if they get a 5th rounder if they trade back) and easing them in over the season.
