Don't take this as ball busting, but i always get a kick out of these comments.
Why does he have to prove he is intelligent and tough?
He either is or isn't. What does he gain by proving to a fan whether he is intelligent and tough?
There really is no reason yet to doubt either.
Not bad for a guy who all the other teams' fans say is an awful GM

He doesn't have to prove anything to the fans. From pre-season i saw a talented player who's decision making and toughness in the pocket was a question mark. Pre-season doesn't say that much, but this is something that he needs to show if he wants to be a starter
So exactly what has he done that is reason to doubt his intelligence or toughness?Sure there is. There are plenty of arguments for why Mallett could still prove to be an NFL caliber quarterback, but there is ample reason to think otherwise as well.

Nah, no reason to have any clue about his ability at this point.Oops, misread on my part. I thought you were saying there is no reason to doubt his ability.

When did I say he was amazing. In training camp from what i saw he was trying to force the ball downfield into coverage rather than go through his progressions. In the pocket he wasn't patient and quickly forced the ball out.
You can't sit here and say he was amazing in TC.
